"Sister. You've made it back." A new voice interjected.

I blinked, realizing there was another Hòuyì that was remarkably similar to Princess Sun Ying standing in front of us. He seemed to be about a year younger, with the same golden scales that she had. His eyes shined a ruby red, just as his sister's does.

Sharp red, just like her eyes...

A flash of steel entered my thoughts, my head cleaved from my body as she stared down with disdain. With those damn red eyes looking down at me.

I want to gouge them out. I want to chop her head off, eyeless, and present it in front of everyone for ever daring to look down at me.

But I can't.

Because I'm dead.

I shook the sudden vision out of my mind. His golden hair was longer than I expected and tied up into a ponytail, but not as long as his sister's was when it wasn't fully tied up. His hair just reached the top of his back in its current style.

"I am back, brother." Princess Sun Ying lightly bowed with a smile. "Prince Kori, please meet my brother, Sun Yao."

His eyes looked over to me, a frown etching its way onto his face.

"Welcome to Tiānshān, Prince Kori." He greeted with a slight bow.

"Thank you, Prince Sun Yao." I greeted back.

He didn't seem pleased with my response. He reminds me of my own brothers. His sister now has major political power as the bridge between Tiānshān and Yatager. It is only natural for a royal as himself to be upset.

He then turned to his sister and his face immediately brightened. "I missed you, sister!" He rushed forwards and collided into her with a hug.

"I wasn't gone that long." She giggled in response, hugging Prince Sun Yao back.

...what is this?

Why are you happy to see her?

She is your competition.

"Why are you not with the rest of the family?" Princess Sun Ying asked.

"I wanted to see you as soon as possible." Prince Sun Yao smiled brightly.

How ridiculous.

"Well, you get to lead us to the palace then." Princess Sun Ying replied. "And I can focus on telling Prince Kori all about Tiānshān!"

Prince Sun Yao shot me a dirty glance before he sighed. He turned around, dragging himself forwards with less enthusiasm than before.

Princess Sun Ying, on the other hand, quickly turned to me and started telling me all about Tiānshān.

For example, she pointed out all of the different designs of dragons and pegasi in the architecture of the buildings.

According to Princess Sun Ying, Tiānshān had two important advisors. A dragon astral and a pegasus astral. So when Tiānshān descended upon this world, the two of them followed.

And when Tiānshān saw another one of the Gods create a creature, their curiosity was sparked and they created two of their own, descendants of their two advisors.

The origin of the Hòuyì, the descendants of the advisor dragon astral, and the Yǔmáo, the descendants of the advisor pegasus astral.

As we walked I noticed the citizens of Tiānshān we passed staring at me. But unlike the gazes of contempt back in Yatger, their gazes were more akin to...wonder? Curiosity?
