After Alpha and Moving On
A few days after Alpha City’s Bakugan were freed, a monumental shift began to reshape the lives of its Vestal inhabitants. With their city liberated, the locals convened and decided to establish a new form of governance, no longer recognizing Prince Hydron or King Zenoheld as their rulers. The tyranny of the Vexos, along with the cruel enslavement of sentient Bakugan, was deemed a dark chapter they refused to revisit.
In this spirit, Alpha City became the first independent capital of the New Vestroia colony. Armed with the weapons and tools they retained, and aided by the Bakugan who chose to stay behind, the Vestals vowed to defend their newfound freedom. While most embraced this change with hope and determination, not everyone shared the sentiment. A small number of Vestals either left Alpha City or quietly voiced their dissent, wary of the risks that came with opposing Zenoheld’s rule. But these dissenters were few; the overwhelming majority believed the enslavement of Bakugan was wrong and stood united in their vision for a new future.
Meanwhile, the Vexos had retreated from Alpha City in the aftermath of their loss, leaving their presence as nothing more than a bitter memory. The Resistance, hailed as heroes by the Vestals, found themselves welcome in almost every household. Offers of food, rest, and gratitude flooded in, a stark contrast to the resistance they typically faced. However, the team knew their mission wasn’t over. They spent a few days recovering and strategizing, but the looming shadows of Beta and Gamma Cities, still under Vexos control, reminded them of the battles ahead. These cities had gone into full lockdown after Alpha’s rebellion, making infiltration a daunting task.

Inside the Resistance’s Mobile Tank Base
The Resistance’s mobile tank base was parked on the outskirts of Alpha City, blending into the rugged terrain with its camouflage. Inside, the team gathered around a glowing holo-map of New Vestroia, their focus divided between Alpha City and the two remaining strongholds.
Baron leaned against the map table, a wide grin on his face as he stared at Alpha City’s marker.
Baron: "I still can’t believe it! We actually did it. Alpha City is free! And did you see how happy those Bakugan were? It was incredible."Ace, seated with his arms crossed, gave a small smirk but remained pragmatic.
Ace: "Yeah, we freed one city, but Beta and Gamma are tightening their defenses. We can’t afford to let this victory make us complacent."Mira, standing by the control panel, nodded in agreement but allowed herself a moment of pride.
Mira: "Ace is right. There’s a long road ahead. But what we’ve accomplished here? It’s proof that we can make a difference. Alpha City stands as a symbol of hope for every Vestal and Bakugan still under Zenoheld’s rule."Keith, leaning back in his chair, glanced at the holo-map with a thoughtful expression.
Keith: "Alpha’s independence is a victory, but it also paints a target on their backs. The Vexos won’t ignore this rebellion. We’ll need to keep an eye on them and make sure they can defend themselves."Baron chimed in, still brimming with excitement.
Baron: "They’ve got the Bakugan who stayed behind to help. Did you see that giant Subterra Bakugan at the city square? I’d love to see the Vexos try and take them on again!"Ace: "Don’t underestimate the Vexos. They’ve probably doubled their forces in Beta and Gamma by now. And after what we pulled off in Alpha, they’ll be watching for us."
Mira: "Which is why we need to be smarter and faster. Beta and Gamma won’t be easy, but if we can find a way in—"
Keith interrupted, his voice firm but calm.
Keith: "We’ll find a way. But for now, we regroup, refocus, and plan. The Vexos won’t give us a second chance if we mess up."
