At the Resistance Base - Hours Away from Beta City
As the Resistance prepared for their daring infiltration, the weight of Keith’s plan settled heavily on each of them. Splitting up was one thing, but sending their leader and one of their strongest allies as the decoy felt more personal. Each member had their own thoughts and worries, and one by one, they found their way to Keith.

Baron
Baron sat on the edge of his bunk, gripping Nemus in his hands as he stared at the floor. His cheerful demeanor was nowhere to be found as he wrestled with his unease. Finally, he stood and made his way to Keith, who was by the strategy table, checking maps and schematics.
Baron: "Keith... I know you’re strong, but I don’t like this plan. It feels like you’re putting yourself on the line too much."
Keith looked up, his expression calm but serious.
Keith: "I’m not doing this because I want to, Baron. I’m doing it because it’s the best chance we have to make it through."
Baron: "But what if it’s not? What if we can come up with something else? You’re too important to this mission to risk yourself like that!"
Keith walked around the table, placing a hand on Baron’s shoulder.
Keith: "I understand how you feel, but think about it—who else can do this? If I don’t act as the decoy, the whole team is in danger. If something happens to me, I know I can count on you to step up."
Baron: "Step up? Me?" He clenched his fists. "Alright, Keith. If you really think this is the only way, then I’ll do my part. But I promise, if you get in trouble, I’ll be the first to get you out."
Keith smiled faintly.
Keith: "I wouldn’t expect anything less from you, Baron."

Mira
Mira found Keith in the hangar, leaning against the Resistance’s vehicle. She crossed her arms, her green eyes narrowed with concern.
Mira: "Keith, you can’t just decide to be the decoy without at least talking to me first."
Keith: "I didn’t want to burden you with that decision. This is something I have to do."
Mira: "Burden me? I’m your sister, Keith. You’re the one person I have left from my family, and you think I’d be okay with this?"
Keith sighed, turning to face her.
Keith: "I’m not okay with it either, Mira, but we don’t have another option. You and the others need to get into Beta City. If I can buy you enough time to make it happen, it’s worth the risk."
Mira: "Worth the risk? Do you even hear yourself?" She stepped closer, her voice lowering. "You’re not invincible, Keith. Don’t make promises you can’t keep."
Keith: "I’m not promising anything. I’m trusting you and the team to finish what we started."
Mira hesitated, her usual resolve wavering. Finally, she gave a small nod.
Mira: "Just… don’t do anything reckless. We’ll come for you if we have to, no matter what."
Keith: "I know you will. That’s why I trust you with this."

Ace
Ace found Keith near the engine room, tightening the armor plates of his gauntlet. Ace leaned casually against the wall, his face unusually serious.
