---Scene: Gamma City - Resistance Base, Quiet Room
The room was dimly lit, with the faint hum of machinery in the background. Keith sat on one side of the table, his posture tense but composed. Across from him, Mira, Baron, and Ace had gathered, their faces reflecting a mixture of relief, curiosity, and unease.Mira glanced at the others before stepping forward.
Mira:
"Keith... we asked for this moment because we wanted to speak with you-just us. No battles, no strategies-just... us."Keith's expression softened slightly as he nodded.
Keith:
"Of course. I owe you all that much."Baron, usually the most energetic of the group, was uncharacteristically quiet. He rubbed the back of his neck and hesitated before speaking.
Baron:
"I... I never really got the chance to thank you. Back when you stayed behind to buy us time, I thought we'd lost you forever. You gave me, Ace, and Mira a second chance, Keith. I'll never forget that."Keith looked at Baron, his eyes filled with gratitude.
Keith:
"You don't need to thank me, Baron. It was my duty. I would've done it again in a heartbeat to protect all of you."Ace folded his arms, his sharp gaze locked on Keith.
Ace:
"You say that, but do you realize how much we've blamed ourselves for what happened to you? I've spent nights replaying that day in my head, wondering if I could've done something to stop it. Watching you as Spectra-it was like losing a brother."Keith lowered his head, his voice heavy with regret.
Keith:
"Ace, I never wanted to leave you all in that position. Being Spectra... it wasn't who I am. It was what they turned me into. But every moment, I was trying to find a way back. I never stopped thinking about the Resistance, about all of you."Mira placed a hand on Keith's arm, her voice trembling.
Mira:
"Keith, you built the Resistance. You gave us the courage to fight when we didn't know where to start. But we need to know-do you still see yourself as our leader? After everything that's happened... can you still stand with us?"Keith met Mira's gaze, his expression resolute.
Keith:
"I've made mistakes, and I've been used against the very people I swore to protect. But if you'll have me, I will stand with you-not just as a leader, but as your brother and your ally. Together, we can finish what we started."Baron grinned, his usual energy returning.
Baron:
"That's what I wanted to hear! The Resistance isn't the same without you, Keith."Ace smirked, though his tone remained serious.
Ace:
"Good. Because we're going to need you at your best if we're going to take on Zenoheld. No more going solo, got it?"Keith chuckled softly, the tension in his shoulders easing.
Keith:
"Got it. This time, we fight together."Mira nodded, her confidence restored.
Mira:
"Then let's prepare. Zenoheld won't know what hit him."******
