It was the next day, you were already on on your way to the address that Naoki had given you last night.

It was cold, so damn cold. You were freezing your ass off, fell asleep next to a dumpster the night prior, it wasnt exactly the most comfortable place to rest. Especially not after everything that happened that day.

The city wasnt big, it was more confusing to navigate than anything else. Took you a while but when you pulled up to an old run down little building you almost second guessed yourself. 'no way this is the place..' you'd think. Apprehensive, maybe this wasn't a good idea after all. But it took you so long to get here, and Naoki seemed so genuine about it. You couldn't turn the offer down. Not now atleast.

Walking in the smell hit you imediately, the smell of meat, raw maybe even rotten meat and the poor attempt at covering it up with the scent of cleaning supplies. Yet the shop was empty, noone at the register, no products on display. You assumed it was because you had arrived so early but that couldn't be it. This was the exact time Naoki told you to come and especially not when you noticed the commotion coming from the back.

"You cant just keep fucking doing this?! Look at it! How am i supposed to work with THIS??"

-

"Heey.. Its not my fault my hand slipped alright.. honest mistake, Maybe stop complaining and just do your job or whatever.. you'll probably get to eat it if we dont use it anyway..-"

Cautiously making your way to the slightly ajar door, peeking inside to have a look. The room matched the other in terms of quality, nothing much. It seemed to be the place where they cut up the meat. Knives and tools littering the wall, the room smelled worse than the other, bags on the counter, bags on the floor. Blood on most of the surfaces. The hygiene was definitely questionable.

Two figures arguing in the middle, standing over a table with an unidentifiable mangled mess of meat and blood laid out onto it. They seemed to be the source of all the commotion. Youd try and get a better look when the door unexpectedly opened letting out an unpleasant creaking noise. Which imediately alerted the individuals on the other side. They all collectively looked your way, though they werent exactly looking at you, behind you.

Realizing another hand had pushed the door open, turning around only to see Naoki looming above you, staring back at the two who were arguing just seconds prior. Clearing his throat. Looking over at you.

"Y/n, welcome to the shop. I knew you'd come, what a pleasure it is too see you." Hed greet you with that same old smile, looking back and giving the other two a look as if telling them to behave. Clearing his throat.

"Sorry for the trouble..these two are my.. co workers."

Hed gesture to the one on the left
"Thats mire, he handles the resupplies."

'resupplies..?" You'd think. Didnt really sound like a standard job in a butcher shop. Turning your attention to Mire.

He had dark straight red hair that fell down to his shoulders, his roots out of control. Clearly hadn't been dyed in a while. From what you could tell he was the shortest of the three. A lazy dull expression on his face. Eyes unfocused, the lens on his glasses so fogged up and the right one cracked you couldnt even see the eye. Wearing a blood stained apron which seemed to be all there was of the uniform here, alongside his own hoodie under it, and an uninteresting pair of pants.

Mire would barely offer you a half hearted wave, barely acknowledging you before primarily focusing his attention to Naoki. All quiet after Naoki came in, looked like he was trying to hold back a lazy grin. Naoki would completely ignore him, painting to the other guy.
