Status of their relationship in this one shot: Dating!

Claire opened the book back up with a smile. Her head is resting on Leon's chest, her body feeling as though it's floating just by the minor bit of physical touch. Occasionally, Leon would run his fingers through her delicate brunette hair to make a statement of love to her. She cleared her throat as she went back to the page she had left on last time she read this book. The book is a poem book, all in which are written by Robert Frost—he is a famous poet.

The book is hundreds of pages long. It's all about Robert Frost and the countless poems he's written. The book was a gift to Claire from her older brother, Chris. He gave it to her around Christmas time as one of her many gifts. Claire has always enjoyed reading and poems are a large part of that. She loves poets like Sylvia Plath and John Milton, so Robert Frost isn't far off of the dot.

Leon's body was being supported by his elbows holding him up whilst Claire rested her head on him. He knows how much she enjoys reading and how much she likes to read to Leon. The man would spend hours listening to her soothing voice read, even if it's a book he doesn't particularly care for. Just being with Claire and hearing her lovely voice speak is all he needs to not become bored. It's moreso impossible to feel bored with her, she makes everything fun.

Staring at a wall of paint drying would be entertaining as long as she's by his side.

"Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold." Claire began, her voice timid and low. Leon's hand played with the hem of her T shirt as she read from the pages, his other arm supporting both of their weight. "Her early leaf's a flower, but only so an hour." Leon rubbed her lower stomach and pressed a gentle kiss to the back of her head. Her hair smelled of greenery and deep, earthy scent, but in a magnificent way.

"Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes to day. Nothing gold can stay." Claire wrapped up the poem with a smile.

Leon chuckled and moved his hand back to her hair. It was beautiful. Even moreso considering Claire is the one that read it off. "Did you like that?" "I did. Pretty poem, almost as pretty as you." Oh Leon, him and his cheesy comments. Claire giggled and sighed softly. "Robert Frost has a way with words that even I can't fathom nor compare to. I love his work." "I know you do. It's a precious hyperfixation of yours." "You think?" Claire asked. "I do. I love all of what you love, Claire." Leon stated. So sweet.

Looking to his side, Leon saw the strawberries and crackers Claire had brought for them to snack on. Neither of them have touched them. The second she arrived, they spent a good five minutes just making out and enjoying one another's company, then it turned into a reading session—which Leon doesn't mind at all. He'll make sure they both eat, especially her. He can't have his girl going home hungry later.

Flipping to another random page, Claire stopped on a random poem that only fate had a decision in picking for her to read off. On the top of the page it read, 'The Rose Family'. Sounds interesting. "How about I read this one next?" "Go ahead darling." Leon said softly, going back to caressing her lower waist with his stud hand. Claire cleared her throat and adjusted how the book was resting in her hand. In all honesty, Leon's touch made it a bit hard to focus but Claire dealt.

"The rose is a rose, and was always a rose." Is how the floral poem began. Claire's voice was even lighter this time and Leon swears he could fall asleep to it. She's just so angelic. "But the theory now goes, that the apple's a rose, and the pear is, and so's, the plum I suppose." Claire read off of the old style pages. Mid reading, Leon sat up and pulled Claire to sit in his lap. He rested his head on her shoulder and wrapped his arms around her thin waist, holding her as close as possible. Claire giggled and pushed on with her reading.
