Summary: Leon & Claire exchange gifts on Christmas morning.

Status of their relationship in this one shot: Engaged.

"I don't wanna get up!" Claire groaned out with a giggle. Leon rubbed her back and smirked. "I know sleepy girl, but we should. It's almost ten in the morning and I want to see you open your presents." It's all Leon has had on his mind. They bought one another three gifts each. It's what they do for each other every year, it is a tradition. Leon likes to think he went all out this year, hence why he's so excited to see Claire's reaction this time around.

Claire smiled at Leon and sat up, letting her back hit the headboard. "Okay but," she giggled, "you must carry me." Leon knew she would say that. He playfully sighed and earned a snort out of Claire before he then grabbed her, holding her close to him. He originally planned to pick her up bridal style but she instead clung to him like a spider monkey. "Let's go baby." He laughed out as he exited their room, her in his hands.

Just down the hall, the bright rainbow lights emitting from their real green tree could be seen. Claire gazed at it with a smile. It is so pretty. "I'd say we did a swell job with Christmas decorations this year." Leon commented with a soft voice before setting Claire down on the carpented floor. She smiled and looked at all six gifts beneath the tree. The blue wrapped ones are for Leon whereas the white & pink is for Claire.

"They do look pretty." Claire referred to the gifts. Leon nodded. "I'll go get us some hot chocolate, why don't you grab a gift for yourself and for me to open?" "Sure thing." Claire said softly and began to look through the miniscule amount of gifts whilst Leon treaded off to the kitchen, grabbing out hot chocolate packets and two mugs, one for him and one for Claire. Hot chocolate is quick and easy, so he doesn't mind doing it before they open presents.

He made Claire's first. He added marshmallows and a chocolate stick, which added to the aesthetic and taste of it. Shortly after, he made his own. The smell of chocolate and warmth filled the room and all Leon could do was smile. He hasn't been this happy in awhile. With work and the loss of a few agents as of recently, he hasn't been himself. Claire was right though, staying home for the Holidays and just embracing one another was the best option.

Placing the milk back in the fridge, Claire called out for Leon. "Hurry back! Come look at Daisy and Archer." Daisy is their dog and Archer is their cat. They got Daisy a few years back and as for Arched, he's one of their most recent fur babies. They also have another dog named Luther but he's upstairs, resting still. "Coming!" Leon yelled as he picked up their drinks and entered the living room, snickering at the sight.

Daisy & Archer were cuddled up together beside Claire, half asleep but they'll surely awaken to play with the excess wrapping paper they leave behind. He sat on the floor and set his hot chocolate on the coffee table, handing Claire hers. "Thanks babe." She sipped it before setting it down. "Ready?" "I am. Open yours first dear."

Listening, Claire picked up the smallest gift first. She shook it and made a look of curiosity. "Hmm, I wonder." Though she has a feeling she knows what it is. "Just open it." Leon laughed and stared at her, wanting to see her reaction. She unwrapped it and smiled. It's a black box and when Claire opened it, she gasped. On the inside was a white bangle with red gemstones inlayed into the bracelet. All Claire could wonder was how expensive it was.

"Leon, how much was this?" She said urgently whilst admiring the piece of jewelry. "That's none of your business. Put it on babygirl." He stated. Claire scoffed. It's so beautiful, but it looks so rich. She slipped it onto her wrist and it was a perfect fit. "It's really pretty. So beautiful. Thank you but baby, please, don't spend much on me." Leon snorted, "You're welcome sweetheart." "Open your gift." Claire giggled and gazed at him.
