For the next week Diana's day consisted of catching up on her reading, helping Mrs. Weasley with dinner or chores, and sleeping early. She was growing bored out of her mind, with Mariam in Italy, Madlyn and Lee in hiding, and her still being in a fight with George, she had no one to talk too.

"Um...Diana. What did you...put in the soup?" Mrs. Weasley asked, looking at the soup that had bits of something she had definitely not put in there. Diana looked up from the kitchen table, finally dragging her head out of her boom.

"What?"

"Diana did you put something inside of it?" She frowned, Diana's brows furrowed together as she tried to remember.

"Um, I put spinach." Mrs. Weasley opened her mouth and then closed it again like a little fish, before shaking her head.

"Diana, this is potato soup."

"Oh. I was wondering why there was potatoes in the spinach soup." Diana said, she shut her book before signing, rubbing her head with two fingers. "I'm sorry I ruined your soup; my mind was all over the place."

"Are you thinking about George?" Mrs. Weasley asked, she took out her wand, flicked her wrist at the soup, and it disappeared from the pot leaving it clean and shine. She took out several potatoes and started remaking her soup. Diana felt a tad bit guilty, so she stood up and started shaving the potatoes. She could do it with magic, but she wanted to take a break from reading just for a few minutes.

"No." Diana lied, her cheeks reddening. Mrs. Weasley smiled as she got out the rest of the ingredients, all over again.

"Are you sure?"

"No," Diana signed again after a minute. "I miss him, but I don't want to break the silence first Mrs. Weasley. He's the one who went behind my back and told me to come here. Not that I hate it here Mrs. Weasley, I love staying with you." She put the peeler down after shaving five potatoes.

"I know you do dear." Mrs. Weasley said, handing her a knife. Diana starts chopping them into little cubes. "But do you think that you could have been a little more..."

"More?" Diana said, raising one eyebrow at Mrs. Weasley.

"What's the word.... protecting yourself? You wanted to stay in Diagon Alley when the death eaters were there. Or working in the shop? They aren't going to just hurt you, Diana. It's a war." Mrs. Weasley warned, and Diana wondered how long she had kept that in.

"I wanted to stay with him Mrs. W, and I didn't know where else I could go." Mrs. Weasley stopped chopping the onions and turned her head slowly to Diana.

"You are always welcomed here Diana. Even if you, heaven forbidden, end things with George. You are always welcomed. I'm so sad that you thought you couldn't come here." She put her hand on Diana's arm and shook her head.

"Thank you for saying that Mrs. Weasley." Diana said, before leaning over and kissing Mrs. Weasley on the cheek. She set her knife down as Mrs. Weasley went back to cooking the soup.

"Where are you going?"

"I need to make a call." Diana announced before she could lose her nerve, grabbed the phone, and taken it upstairs.

He picked it up after the third ring. George's deep voice ran over the line, making Diana's heart flutter. "Hello?"

"George," There was a pause on the other end, then shuffling on the other end, and a door slamming.

"George?" Diana said, again. She scooted on Charlie's bed, wrapping the wire around her finger.

"Sorry, I was downstairs in the shop. I'm surprised you called." George said, " I was going to call you tonight actually."

"How is the shop going?"

"It's...going. Sales aren't as good as they were before, but we made a lot of inventory selling protective charms through the mail and anyone that comes in." George explained,

"That's good."

"How's everything at the burrow?"

"It's good. Your mum and dad are great. I just ruined the soup-" George's deep chuckle made Diana smile.

"Don't laugh at me. It was apparently potato soup, but I put spinach in it, and apparently, she doesn't like it. I think spinach and potatoes aren't that bad together."

"Dad hates spinach. That's why she has to remake it."

"Oh, well of course I pick the only vegetable that your father hates." Diana signed, she leaned against the headboard, sneaking under her blankets.

"It's not your fault. You didn't know."

"Yeah, I guess." There was a pause, an awkward pause. She could hear Fred shouting something from the other side of the phone.

"Listen George, the reason I called you today is because I wanted to say...I'm sorry. You were just trying to protect me, and I flipped out." Diana signed; she could imagine George shaking his head on the other line of the phone.

"It's okay Diana. You weren't the only one who was in the wrong. I should have told you what I wanted to do beforehand. It wasn't fair on you." George said,

"It's okay George. It's already forgotten."

"I love you Di." George breathed, sounding relieved. Diana smiled, the butterflies in her stomach erupted all over again.

"I love you too George."

"AWW," Someone whispered on the other side.

"Mum, is that you?" George said a heartbeat later.

"...No."

'You know nothing about privacy, do you understand that?" George shouted.

"I was just wondering if you two were going to make up. Oh you two should come to dinner tonight! I'm-"

"Alright Mum, we'll be there, can you please just hang up." George laughed.

"Okay, also Diana I don't need any help in the kitchen.... just stay in your room." Mrs. Weasley said, George laughed on the line, her face turning red even though no one could see.

"Mrs. Weasley! I am not that bad of a cook."

"Yes, you are." George and Mrs. Weasley said at the same time.

"George, we just got back to good terms."

"We're on good terms, but I don't want to die from your cooking."

"I'm hanging up. I'll see you later tonight." Diana signed, rolling her eyes. She waited till George said goodbye, before she turned off the phone, feeling better than she's ever even this whole week.
