Diana looked at Fleur as she stared at herself in the mirror on the day of her wedding. She was beautiful, which wasn't surprising considering she was half-veela. "You're beautiful Fleur,"
"Thank you," Fleur grinned, looking at her through the mirror. Diana wore a simple violet dress that reached her knees with square neckline. It was simple, something quick that Mrs. Weasley made her because of all the closed shops recently.
"Are you...scared?" Diana asked her, fixing Fleur's veil. Fleur stared at her for a moment longer before responding.
"My stomach has been acting up all day. I feel like I'm either going to throw up or pass out. I feel scared and anxious, and worried."
"Are you...backing out?" Diana asked, Fleur shook her head, her veil swaying with her.
"Oh no, never. I love Bill. I can't wait to be his wife even if I'm a mess. I sneak away for an hour every day and try on my wedding dress. -" Her eyes took on a dream like state, her pupils looked like actual hearts to Diana-"I wear the veil, and the shoes, and the gloves. Everything. And I picture myself as his wife, our kids, and what our life will be like after the war, and I feel my stomach get all excited." Fleur smiled, turning around to Diana.
"I hope you get to experience this with George." Fleur said. The door opened and Aunt Muriel, Mrs. Weasley, and Hermione walked in before Diana could answer, Fleur winked at Diana before turning to them.
"You look lovely, dear." Mrs. Weasley said, grabbing Fleur's head. Aunt Muriel rolled her eyes, pushing a big box into Diana's hand almost dropping Fleur's flowers in the process.
"Every bride looks good Molly, let's get on with it." She said, she huffed putting her cane on the side and opening the box in Diana's hands. She took out the goblin made tiara out of the box, and carefully placed it on Fleur's head. Fleur was already a beautiful girl, when she walks into the room every man naturally turns to her, but this tiara just added the elegance and grace and magic to Fleur.
"There, now you don't break it or drop it or anything. It's very expensive!" Aunt Muriel shouted; Fleur nodded.
"I won't do anything to harm it Aunt Muriel." Fleur promised. Aunt Muriel nodded before looking over at Diana. Diana shut the box under the women's stare and set it down on the table next to the mirror.
"Is this the muggle born that one of your evil twins are dating?" She asked, Diana looked at Mrs. Weasley before Mrs. Weasley nodded.
"Yes, George." Aunt Muriel looked at Diana from head to toe, before hissing.
"You need to run a brush through her hair, and she's too skinny." She said, Diana pursed her lips and nodded.
"I think she's just fine the way she is." Mrs. Weasley said before leading her out. Diana scowled at Muriel's back, as the door shut behind her.
"Don't worry, when she saw me, she said, "Is that the Muggleborn? Oh dear, bad posture, and skinny ankles." Hermione said, patting Diana's arm.
"I have opinions of her but I'm going to keep shut." Diana huffed, as the door opened again, and Mrs. Weasley popped her head in.
"Girls! Get downstairs! The wedding is going to start in twenty minutes." They both nodded before wishing Fleur good luck. They walked downstairs and out to the backyard to the tent that the boys had set up earlier. It swept shut behind them as they entered.
"Wow...., you look great!" Ron said, he blinked several times like he couldn't believe that Hermione was in front of him. She smiled at him, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink.
"Your Great-Aunt Muriel doesn't agree, I just met her upstairs while she was giving Fleur the tiara. She said, 'Oh dear, is this the Muggle-born?' and then, 'Bad posture and skinny ankles.'" Hermione muttered, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Don't take it personally she's rude to everyone," Ron shrugged, Diana felt an arm wrap around her waist before she saw George pop up next to her with Fred.
"Talking about Muriel? Yeah, she's just told me my ears are lopsided. Old bat. I wish old Uncle Bilius was still with us, though; he was a right laugh at weddings." Diana pursed her lips not to laugh. They talked for a little while longer before Krum interrupted much to Ron's disapproval and was shown his seat.
"...do you think my hair is too curly?" Diana asked George as they walked to their seats in the first row. George raised one eyebrow at her as they sat down. She tucked her dress under her thighs before sitting down.
"What?"
"Do you think my hair is too curly?"
"No? Why would you say that? I love your curls." Diana shrugged nodding towards Muriel who was a couple seats back. The twins had sat her in the back, away from anyone else who she could offend.
"Aunt Muriel said my hair is too curly and that I'm too skinny." Diana huffed.
"Aunt Muriel can kiss my arse. You're beautiful the way you are, I especially think so." He said before leaning over and kissing her forehead. Diana blushed but nodded.
"Thank you,"
"It's so funny how you still blush after we've been together for a while now." George smirked
"Oh shut up."
"Why's he shutting up?" Fred asked, sitting down next to his brother.
"Oh nothing." Diana chuckled; Fred shrugged looking at his wristwatch.
"Where's Miriam?" Diana asked,
"Next to Ron. Mum wants only us three and her and Dad in the front." Fred explained, the tent quieted down, a loud laugh here and there, before Mr. and Mrs. Weasley strolled down the aisle, holding hands and wearing beautiful brand-new robes. A second later Bill and Charlie, the best man who had just arrived a couple days ago, walked down the aisle. Fred wolf whistled as they got to the front, making several of the veela girl's giggle. Diana turned to look at Mariam who scowled at them, her face ready for murder.
Then they all stood up as the tent opened. Fleur's parents walked in first, before Ginny and Fleur's younger sister Gabrielle, and finally the bride floated into the room, radiating beauty, anyone who was near her shinnied with beauty just by being near her. She reached the front, everyone sat down, and the wizard officiating started speaking.
"Do you William Arthur, take Fleur Isabelle to be your wife?" He asked, Diana tried to blink her tears away, but it wasn't working. She took the handkerchief that George handed her and dabbed at her eyes.
"...then I declare you bonded for life." The wizard officiating said, he raised his wand high, and sparks flew out of his wand as Bill and Fleur kissed before Bill picked up Fleur and spun her around, her veil circling them.
