Warning : Blood and violence, like FOR REAL
"Cleanup mission?"
Haibara and you repeated what the teacher said.
"Yes, you will need to clear up the mountain area since aimless curses always attempt to gather there so we go there annually to exorcize them before they can do any harm", Ume-sensei walked along your desks to show you the details of the curse types.
"Even if most of them range from grade 4 to 3, I would advise you all to be careful since they have the advantage with quantity. And yes, Nanami-kun?"
He put down his hand when she responded, "Are we expected to clean them all up in just one day?"
"Of course not, the duration isn't the main here. I want to work on team building with others. So, let's focus on it. And go on, Yamazaki-Chan."
"Will it be okay if I burn down some trees?"
"Permission granted but don't go crazy. Haibara-kun?"
"Should we bring along an overnight bag?"
"It would be a good choice to do so."
"Camping then!" You and Haibara high-fived at that before turning to Nanami to do the same.
"Ume-san, can I talk with you for a moment?"
"Coming! Skim through these for the time being, okay?"
Ume-sensei left the room to talk with school personnel from the other side.
"This will be an easy one if we don't get to see any curse users. Because they are likely to be around to capture some for their uses", Nanami noted thoughtfully and moved his chair nearer to the left side of your desk.
"Or any wild animals", you opened up the map to circle the area, "there is a stream and caves, so bears are a possibility."
"Hmm, it's becoming like a survival game that we played over the weekend", Haibara also dragged his chair and sat opposite to you.
"Isn't this a bit of a high level for first years?", Nanami sighed.
"I heard it's usually a joint mission between senpai-kouhai students to promote team building before", you leaned in.
"Oh! Do you think this was the mission where the third and fourth years left Ieiri-san alone last year?", Haibara snapped his fingers in exclamation.
"That could be it", Nanami nodded at him.
"Eh?? Ieiri-senpai was left alone here? How dare they?", you couldn't help but glare at the wall.
"I agree, that's so irresponsible! No wonder, Geto-san and Gojo-san were still mad at them."
Although Nanami felt the same, he knew he had to be the one to cool down his two friends before they would march to the other classroom.
"If that's the reason why they are letting only us handle this, then all the more reason to show them that we don't need them by completing the mission smoothly and precisely."
The two blinked at him quietly before grinning, "Is our dear Nanami-kun getting fired up as well?"
"What? I'm just-"
Haibara slung his arm over his friend, "no need to cover up, Nanami. Even if your face looks neutral, we can still see that your fists are clenching."
Tinting a bit of red, Nanami still tried to deny, "No, I'm just saying that to-"
