Song of Chapter: Feeling Good by Muse
I could never be more happy. It's been a week since I asked Valerie out, and it has been amazing. We hang out almost everyday. We cuddle, kiss, go on random dates, and it's been great. Tomorrow, Friday, November 13, it will be my birthday. I will be turning eighteen. It's scaring thinking how fast life is going. Soon, I will graduate, go to art school, get married, have kids, and my life will be complete. It's coming all so fast, I'm not ready. The future is slapping me in the face from left and right.
I have applied to California College of the Arts, and I'm waiting for the day to see if I get accepted. I want to graduate, and go straight to college to start my new life. California has been a dream of mine to live in. My mom's side of the family lives in San Francisco, and that is where the college is. I highly doubt that I will get in, but it is worth a try trying.
I walk in the cafeteria looking around for Emma, Michael, and Valerie. I see Mike and Emma in the lunch line. I start to walk over to them when I bump into someone. The person falls, and I quickly help. I see it was Renee'. I scoff. I help anyway to be nice. She finally knows it's me and laughs. "Well, isn't the famous Logan," she smirks. "I was looking for you."
"I'm sure. What do you want?" I roll my eyes. She smiles wickedly.
"Why are you dating Valerie? She's deaf. Hearing and deaf don't go together," she remarks. I scoff.
"Yeah, well, I think we are perfect. She is amazing, hearing or deaf, it doesn't matter to me. She is a wonderful person. Unlike you," I state.
"You may be one of the most popular boys in this school, but that doesn't mean you need to be bratty with the most popular girl in this school, which is me," she says. She places her hands on her hips.
"I'm not being bratty. You're the brat," I say. She opens her mouth wide in shock. "Now, will you excuse me, I need to meet up with my girlfriend and friends." I push past her. I see Valerie walking up to Emma and Michael as well. I quickly grab her hand and pull her towards me. I kiss her sweet, strawberry lips. She smiles and pulls away.
"What was that for?" she asks.
"What? I can't kiss my girlfriend whenever I want?" I smirk. She giggles.
"Yes, but it was so sudden. By the way, I saw you ran into Renee'. What did she say? You looked mad," she says. I take her hands and look in her eyes.
"She was being her mean self and was saying that a deaf girl and a hearing guy should date. But you know what, I don't care! I like her for you. Deaf, blind, whatever, I like you for who you are. You're amazing, wonderful, beautiful. I wouldn't ask for anyone else to be my girlfriend," I say. She smiles and gives me a peck on the lips.
"Lets get our food you goob," she says. I put my arm around her shoulder and we get our food.

Valerie told me today she wanted to do something for my birthday a day early. I have no idea what we are doing. She said it was a surprise, and said to wear casual and bring another pair of pants. That's not something you hear your girlfriend say to you. I wear something to impress her, because I want to look at good as possible! This isn't an everyday thing!
I suddenly feel a vibration from my phone in my pocket. I take it out to see Valerie texted me.
