The house was a mess when Tommy got home. Pieces of the ceiling were scattered over the floor, and everything was destroyed.
"What in the-" Tommy frowned. What had happened here? Where was everyone?
Voices came from out the back, and Tommy followed them to find the family staring at the sky with Nick Fury as Captain Marvel launched into the air. "What is going on!?" He exclaimed, and they turned to look.
Apparently, Kamala had managed to get her powers entangled with Captain Marvel and some other woman whose name Tommy forgot immediately, and Kamala was on a spaceship with the two. After many lectures and insistence from Muneeba, Fury agreed to take the family and Tommy up to the space station with him. Tommy had managed to pack his Speed suit while Muneeba was arguing with Fury, just for emergencies. Muneeba forced Fury to tell her all about how dangerous the space missions that Captain Marvel usually went on was.
Kamala called hours after she'd vanished, and Muneeba instantly began to drill into her how she couldn't go on any of the missions.
"Kamala you are not going on any space adventures. Nicholas has told me how dangerous they can be," Muneeba instructed, and Tommy snorted from where he sat.
"It's just 'Fury', god," Kamala chuckled awkwardly, then frowned. "Wait, where are you guys? Where's Abbu?"
Fury turned the camera to show Yusuf strapped into a seat and clinging for dear life. "Hell. This man has taken us to Hell," Yusuf told her in Urdu, which Aamir translated for Tommy, who was only a bit fluent before Aamir turned back to his phone.
"Hell, so that means I'm the devil?" Fury turned the see-through phone back around.
"Really Fury?" Carol Danvers raised an eyebrow at the screen.
"They insisted, and your dad is not adjusting very well to space travel," Fury told Kamala.
Aamir had his phone out and was making a video message to his wife. "Hey babe, so I'm in this crazy space elevator and we're going up, or maybe we're going down. Uh... are there directions in space?" Aamir turned to ask Fury.
"Yes there are, but no filming. And what are you doing back there?" Fury called to where Tommy was flicking through one of the see-through iPads.
"Reading up on Bruno's backstory. Amnesia remember?" Tommy said as he searched through Charlie Spring, (some British boy who had gotten into a car crash at the same time the hex came down)'s records. If he was up in the headquarters of information, why not try and find his brother? This was the best chance Tommy was going to get.
The space elevator arrived in the spaceship, and Tommy went to go sit by himself while he searched through the databases. He'd just moved on to some Australian boy who had survived a snake bite when Aamir walked over.
"Bruno, you seem very relaxed about all of this," Aamir noted, sitting next to him.
Tommy glanced over the iPad at the other boy's screen. "Weren't you told not to text Tyesha?" he frowned.
"I was told not to photograph," Aamir corrected. "What are you doing?"
"Stalking random people," Tommy said. "Then I'm moving on to superheroes. And getting dirt on Zoe and Nakia."
"Of course," Aamir rolled his eyes, and Tommy swiped the screen, typing the next name.
That was all of the people on his list. Tommy scrolled down, reading up on everything that was apparently 'classified' like the full details on Westview. He went to look through Vision and Agatha Harkness next, although the latter was practically a ghost, so there was very little information on her other than she had a son called Nicholas who had disappeared. Most of the information on Agatha Harkness was from Westview.
The most interesting thing Tommy found from his search was the lack of information on Pietro Maximoff. The man had little to no pages, and nothing after his death. It was strange.
The whole space trip was much more boring than Tommy had hoped. All the excitement came when a malfunctioning jump point or whatever appeared near earth, and all the technology and information began to glitch, causing an emergency announcement over the speakers, and flashing red lights came on. "What is going on?" Aamir asked, standing up.
"No clue," Tommy sighed, walking towards an empty office room.
"Where are you going?" Aamir called.
"To get some peace and quiet," Tommy called back, going inside and sitting inside the room, spreading across a couch.
Tommy tuned out the announcement about letting demonic cats eat him, choosing to sit in the office quietly until the door opened. "No human eating cats allowed," he called.
"Excuse me?" a woman's voice called, and Tommy stood up, frowning. His eyes widened when he recognised the woman in front of him.
"Monica?"
