It was my first day back to work since my vacation and I honestly was excited about it. I haven't interacted with anyone in a while. Not only that, but just sitting around the house with nothing to do after some time, it gets boring and the feeling of uselessness.
The moment I walked off the elevator, I was bombarded with hellos and I missed you from everyone along the office. I talked a little bit with everyone before they started asking too many personal questions. It's always that one person who is out of boundaries.
I walked towards Onika office to let her know I was back.
I instantly spotted Beyoncé and Kaiden in her office. They were all smiles and hugged up. You could see it in their eyes on how much they were in love. They looked like a cute little family. It honestly made me warm on how she finally found true happiness from someone that's not only willing to give it to her, but to Kaiden as well.
I knocked on the office door and they parted away, looking in my direction. Onika gave me a smile while Beyonce just put her head down and went on her phone while she held Kaidens hand in the other.
Okay then..
"Mommy! It's godmommy! Can I say hi? Please please please?!" Kaiden was so excited to see me. Beyoncé just let his hand go and he raced over to me. I wasted no time scooping him up in my arms.
"Hi my baby. You're getting so big." I really missed my baby. I missed him calling me off his iPad just to talk about his little show. Or him coming to stay the night with me and waking up to his curls all over my face. It made me wonder if she blocked me off of his ipad. I remember the exact words she said as she left my house pertaining to him.
"I missed you g mommy. Can I come stay the night? We can watch your favorite show." I just looked at him and smirked.
"And what would my favorite show be?"
"PJ masks! You don't remember?" I just giggled at him and I heard them giggle as well.
"You right that is my favorite show. Let me talk to your mom and we'll figure it out okay?" He nodded his head. He started to talk more about the show until I had to pause him for a second to address the actual reason I was here in the office.
"I was just letting you know I was back Miss. Maraj.." I gave Onika my attention.
"It's great to have you back. You were missed." I smiled at her statement. I looked over at Beyoncé and she was still just looking down at her phone. It was weird not beaming at each other every interaction we had. I missed out late night calls and dinners as well.
