Daou POV
"How long?" Dean growled as he took a seat in his office.
"Since the night at Ian's," Daou answered. He knew from the look on his face the man knew.
"So you lied to me when you said you weren't fucking my son?" Dean laughed.
"No, I was telling the truth, I hadn't fucked him, yet," Daou said and watched Dean's eyes narrow.
"I'm sorry I wasn't aware I had to specify the question," Dean growled. "When did you start sticking your dick in my son?"
"The day at your office, but I didn't fuck him," Daou said knowing he was pushing the alphas buttons.
"The only reason I haven't ripped out your throat yet is I'm going to assume you both haven't been idiots and have been safe about it?" Dean asked, raising an eyebrow at Daou who nodded yes. "And for the fact my son has been happier and on his best behavior since before I can even remember," Dean pinched the bridge of his nose. "You understand this has an expiration date? That my son does not belong to you,"
"Yes, sir," Daou said through gritted teeth. "Trust me I know,"
"God, you have been a pain in my ass since you came here. If my son gets hurt because of this little infatuation you have with each other, I'll send you back to the pits," Dean said.
"Protecting him is still my top priority," Daou said truthfully.
"What happened?" Dean asked.
"He doesn't want to go on any more dates, he had a date with the omega named Sky, and she apparently said some very upsetting things to him," Daou informed him.
"Like what?" Dean sighed.
"I'm not sure but something about his mom, and not being good enough to be loved," Daou said the venom in his voice showing on the last bit.
"You do not get to love my son, do you understand me? In 4 months he will get married and you will be shipped off to Timbuktu," Dean yelled.
"Is that really all you heard?" Daou laughed. "My feelings aside, your son and late wife were verbally assaulted by someone and all you care about is about that? Did it ever occur to you that what upsets me is your son, the man who saved my life and my mother's I might add thinks he is unlovable? That he isn't good enough? When in reality none of you deserve him? That he is too good for all of you combined?"
"Look,"
"No you look," Daou said, interrupting him. "At the end of the day me and your son both know where I stand. We both understand what this is and isn't. But what you need to understand is that your son spent what? Almost a year? Being verbally, emotionally, and mentally degraded and abused by a man who he thought loved him and ignoring it doesn't make that shit go away. Hiding behind your shame doesn't make it go. Your son needed you and you left him to deal with it on his own, so if you want to be angry, good! But you better be looking in the mirror before you start trying to blame anything on me," Daou said before turning around and marching out of Dean's office slamming the door.
He meant what he said these people didn't deserve Offroad. He had watched the boy over these past weeks do nothing to help everyone and anyone. He had learned that the boy personally funded almost all of the lowborne donation centers and that every single one of the workers here in the house adored the boy and he adored them. Offroad was too good for anyone, even him and he knew that. But maybe he was being selfish and he didn't care. Ignorance was bliss and he wanted to remain that way for just a bit longer.
Daou went to Offroads' room, opened the door, and got angry that the boy was not in there. Daou immediately went down to Ram's room and flung the door open and no one.
