Offroad pov
Offroad was over today. He didn't want this stupid engagement party, he didn't want 200 people in attendance, he didn't want a wedding, he didn't want the stupid ugly ring that he wore on his finger. It was clearly meant for a woman and he was not. Sure he met Lily and she was wonderful however, he could see the hatred she had for him as Win Jack's father forced him to give Offroads his family's ring. A ring that had never been given to a male obviously.
Offroad flushed the toilet and turned buttoning his pants when he noticed shoes and a shadow outside the stall.
"Did you talk to him?" Offroad said as he opened the stall door and was hit in the face with a familiar scent. His omega immediately screamed in excitement.
Daou.
The alpha surged forward scooping Offroad up pushing them into the stall locked the door behind him.
"Stop no," Offroad said, struggling against him, hitting and kicking him as Daou pinned him against the stall wall. "Let go of me," Offroad growled.
"Mine," Daou's alpha growled. His eyes were glowing. His pheromones were smothering him as Daou pinned his hands above his head reaching for his pants that were already undone,
"Stop!" Offroad cried out. "Please stop! Ou!" Offroad felt Daou freeze and immediately loosened his grip on his hands as he just held his body to his as if inhaling his scent. "Don't do this," Offroads voice cracked.
"You're getting married?" Daou asked as he felt Offroads' fingers and the ring he was wearing.
"In a couple of months," Offroad whispered as Daou dropped him to the ground, allowing his hands to fall.
"Are you happy?" Daou asked, his face pointed to the ground. Offroad tipped his chin up seeing the alpha in tears broke his heart.
"Do you want me to be?" Offroad asked and Daou nodded. "Then I am,"
"I lied," came Daous' broken voice.
"What?" Offroad asked, closing his eyes.
"That day in the hospital, when you asked me if I love you?" Daou explained. Offroad could feel his heart breaking all over again. "I lied when I said no," Offroad took a deep breath and opened his eyes to see Daou who was standing there crying. "I lied,"
"I know," Offroad said, trying to wipe away the tears streaming down his face. "I know and I know why you lied," Offroad tried to smile. "You were right,"
"I didn't want to be," Daou said.
"But you were," Offroad said sniffling, trying to blink away the tears. "We come from different worlds, I was an idiot for thinking it would work that I could have my cake and eat it too,"
"I'm sorry," Daou said softly.
"Me too," Offroad said back with a half smile. Daou leaned forward kissing Offroad. His hands rested on his neck tilting his Jaw upwards to deepen it as his tongue began to taste in all the ways Offroad missed.
"I love you," Daou whispered against his lips. "I'm sorry,"
"Sorry for what?" Offroad asked.
"Hurting you, leaving you to deal with losing our baby on your own, making you think I didn't love you, that I didn't want you," Daou said, running his fingers through his hair.
"And do you want me?" Offroad asked.
"I've wanted you since the moment I was first on my knees in front of you," Daou finally admitted.
