Ignoring Warnings

Bong's first warning didn't make Aristo realize his mistake. Growing impatient, Bong began to issue his second warning.

"Ris, end your relationship with Ratih. You have a choice: Ratih or this company. I can't tolerate what you're doing to Mey."

"Bong, don't mix business with family matters. You know I always stay focused on our business. My family affairs are my own. Or is it that you still have feelings for Mey?"

"I let Mey go back then because I could see you truly loved her. And I saw that Mey admired you deeply. I stepped aside for her sake, not for yours." Bong shouted to Aristo.

"I won't let go of Mey either. My feelings for her haven't changed—especially since she's the mother of my children."

"Then let go of Ratih! Be careful with Bayu. He might do something you wouldn't expect. Do you think Bayu enjoys leaving Ratih for months to work on a ship if it weren't to save up quickly for their marriage?" Bong push Aristo.

"I can't let go of Ratih. Not now. At least not yet."

"Then divorce Mey."

"So you can marry her? Now I understand why you've stayed single all this time. You still can't forget Mey." Aristo teased Bong.

"Shut your mouth! This is your second warning. If you don't let go of Ratih within this month, I'll speak to all the shareholders about revoking your rights as a stakeholder!"

Aristo was furious over Bong's threat. He hadn't expected that Bong still harboured feelings for Mey, his wife.

Instead of going home, Aristo went to Ratih's rented house. He unleashed his anger by embracing Ratih passionately. Ratih said nothing, merely allowing herself to follow Aristo's lead. It was all she could do at that moment to comfort him.

Bong's Approach

Bong was furious when he realized Aristo had ignored his threat. Aristo hadn't returned to Mey's home for three days since their last argument.

Tensions escalated during shareholder meetings, with Bong and Aristo engaging in endless debates, making other shareholders increasingly uncomfortable. After one such meeting, Bong visited Mey's flower shop, only to learn that she hadn't come to work due to illness. Bong immediately went to Mey's house. She was alone, weak, and when she tried to open the door, she managed to look at Bong briefly before fainting right in front of him.

Bong panicked and called an ambulance. He took care of Mey without informing Aristo, staying by her side for three hours in the Emergency Room while she was on an IV drip.

"There's nothing to worry about; Ms. Mey just had a high fever. But because it wasn't treated promptly, she fainted. Luckily, you brought her in right away. She's fine now, just needs three days of rest at home," explained Dr. Didi.

Mey was allowed to go home. Bong helped her into the car, fastened her seatbelt, and began driving.

"What brought you to my house, Bong?" Mey suddenly remembered to ask.

"I'll explain later," Bong replied briefly.

"Sorry for the trouble. I didn't expect to feel so weak earlier."

"Why were you home alone?"

"My housekeeper is picking up the kids from school," replied Mey.
