A dimly lit room. The air was heavy, thick with silence. The only source of light was a flickering lamp in the corner, casting eerie shadows on the damp walls. On the cold floor, Aaravi lay motionless, her delicate frame eerily still, her breath shallow.

"Throw water on her face," a low, menacing voice commanded, dripping with dark amusement.

"Yes, boss," his subordinate responded immediately, moving toward Aaravi. He picked up a glass of water from the table, the liquid trembling slightly in his grip before he mercilessly splashed it over her.

Aaravi's body jerked at the sudden shock, her lashes fluttering as she sucked in a sharp breath. A shudder ran through her, but her movements remained sluggish.

"Leave," the same voice ordered again, cold and final.

The man nodded, stepping away before disappearing through the heavy steel door.

Alone now, the man watched her intently through the CCTV screen. His dark eyes gleamed with something twisted—an obsession that had only grown over the years. His fingers curled into fists as he took in the sight of her fragile form, the way she stirred, disoriented and helpless.

"Finally," he murmured, his voice laced with possessive hunger. "You're here... in my villa. And soon, you'll be in my life—where you've always belonged, little birdie."

A slow, unsettling smile spread across his lips as he leaned back, his gaze never leaving the screen.

"That husband of yours... useless. He couldn't even protect you." His jaw clenched, but then, as if calming himself, he exhaled. "But don't worry, I'll protect you now. Forever."

On the screen, Aaravi groaned softly, pressing a hand to her throbbing head as she forced her heavy eyes open. Confusion flickered across her face, followed quickly by fear.

The man's smile deepened.

"Now," he whispered, standing up. "It's time to see you, little birdie."

He left his office, his footsteps echoing through the dimly lit corridors as he descended the stairs, slow and deliberate. Each step sent a shiver through the silence. When he reached the door, he pushed it open with force, the heavy wood slamming against the wall.

Aaravi flinched.

"Welcome to my cage, my little birdie," his voice dripped with dark satisfaction, a sinister warmth beneath his words.

Aaravi's heavy eyelids fluttered open, her vision swimming in a dizzying blur. Her head throbbed, her body felt weak, and her throat—dry as a desert. She tried to speak, but only a whisper escaped her lips.

"Wa...ter..."

She barely recognized her own voice—hoarse, fragile, broken.

A chuckle resonated in the room, low and unnerving.

"Of course, my obsession," he murmured, his tone laced with something possessive. He stepped forward, his figure still cloaked in the shadows, and extended a glass toward her.

With trembling hands, Aaravi took it, the coolness of the glass grounding her for a fleeting second before she gulped the water down desperately, as if it was the only thing keeping her alive.
