Author's note: Ok that's the last thing that I've pre-written from the old story (I added Austin cause a comment gave me inspo haha) so one shots may end here unless I get another idea :) This thing doesn't make any logical sense, DON'T LOOK FOR LOGIC IT'S WHY IT'S NOT IN THE MAIN STORY
"This is the stupidest plan ever," I say as Austin helps me climb through my window. "Mom is literally going to murder all of us."
"Nah," Sabrina grins from below. "She'll murder Tree first for not catching us on her stupid security cameras."
"I've disabled those," I smirk, making Austin choke back a laugh.
"You're terrifying, you know that?" he says, helping me navigate the window ledge. "Like, actually terrifying. Pretty sure you and Tree are in some kind of war of technological escalation."
"Speaking of escalating," Sabrina says, "did your mom tell you she's in love yet?"
I nearly fall off the ledge. "WHAT?"
"Sabrina!" Austin hisses, catching me before I actually plummet to my death. "We weren't supposed to..."
"SHE'S WHAT?" I'm not even trying to be quiet anymore.
"Oh shit," Sabrina mutters. "I thought she told you about Travis..."
"TRAVIS? WHAT TRAVIS?" I'm definitely yelling now. "GROCERY STORE TRAVIS? SAB THE ONE YOU TOLD ME ABOUT?"
"Could you maybe have this breakdown when we're not dangling from a window?" Austin suggests.
"No, I absolutely cannot," I inform him. "My mom is in LOVE? With FOOTBALL TRAVIS? And no one TOLD ME?"
"In her defense," Sabrina tries, "she's barely admitted it to herself-"
"I cannot believe this," I start pacing on the ledge, making both of them look terrified. "I leave her alone for TWO SECONDS..."
"Three weeks of being grounded is not two seconds," Austin points out.
"-and she falls in love? With some guy who probably doesn't even know how to bake properly?"
"Actually," Sabrina grins, "he made her friendship bracelets..."
"FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS?" I throw my hands up, nearly giving Austin a heart attack as I wobble.
"Maybe we should have this conversation on the ground," Austin suggests weakly.
"No, we're having it right here," I declare. "On this ledge. Where my mom's BETRAYAL has left me STRANDED."
"You're so dramatic," Sabrina laughs.
"Ladies," Austin interrupts. "Not that this isn't entertaining, but maybe we could continue this crisis AFTER we successfully sneak you out?"
I narrow my eyes at them both. "Fine. But this conversation is NOT over."
"Wouldn't dream of it, tiny criminal," Sabrina grins, helping me down. "Now, about that escape plan..."
"Don't think you're changing the subject," I warn her. "I want ALL the details. Every single one. Including why my mom is getting FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS from FOOTBALL PEOPLE..."
"Less yelling, more sneaking," Austin pleads.
"I'm just saying," I continue in a furious whisper as we creep across the lawn, "if he doesn't know her coffee order or how to handle Tree's breakdowns or which cat needs special attention..."
"Oh my god," Sabrina wheezes. "You're literally giving him the shovel talk while sneaking out of your own grounding."
"SOMEONE has to have standards!"
