Emma sat in complete silence as to what she was hearing. In her whole five years of working as a therapist had she heard such an awful event take place. Emma felt herself tearing up half way though Regina's story and quickly wiped them away, Emma crying would do Regina no good. Emma continued to listen, take notes so she could find the right way to help her get though this and as Regina went on, the worse her experience got. Emma felt sorry for this women. When Regina was done, she was a mess. Regina had tears rolling down her cheeks, her hands were shaking in a rapid pace and her breathing was out of sync. Emma didn't know what to say. Soon, Emma realised that Regina was beginning to hyperventilate. She ran over to Regina and tried calm her down. it wasn't working.
"Regina, I need you to follow my breathing okay? its all okay. your safe" Emma said as she breathed slowly hoping Regina would follow. Regina tried to but her cries became more frequent and her breathing was interrupted.
"I cant.... Breathe" Regina said though short breaths
"Regina, I need you to calm down! your okay, your safe. Nothing is going to hurt you here. breath in. breathe out. breathe in, breathe out." Emma said and continued this until Regina's breathing was some what normal. When Regina's breathing was normal again, Emma got her a few tissues and sat back in her chair, looking though her notes once more before deciding on what to say.
"Regina, you've been though quite a lot." Emma said and Regina nodded.
"So first, how are you coping with all this? are you dong okay mentally?" Emma asked
"I'm getting there, Robins a star. He's really been there for me and helped me cope with all this, hes helped me in the night with the coping mechanism you suggested. He/s really been there for me, and that's all I can ask for really" Regina said and Emma nodded her head
"Its good to have someone be there for you, talk to you whenever or sooth your night terrors and things." Emma said. The session wne ton for another hour. Questions being asked and answered, Emma helping her with strategies that will help her cope and kind of get over the recent events.
When Regina arrived home, Robin was in the kitchen cooking tea, and Roland and Ava were watching some TV.
"Hello Mommy!" Roland said
"Hey baby" Regina smiled and sat on the sofa with her children. After a few minutes, Robin walked in and sat next to regina, who placed her head on his shoulders and he kissed her head.
"Hello love, how was you session with Emma?" Robin asked his wife.
"It was good. Its really helping" Regina smiled up at him.
"Zelena rang today. asking about you. She sounded really worried" Robin said
"She should. Its her fault I was in there." Regina said bluntly
"whys that?" Robin asked
"Because its her fault they know I exist, her fault that they know im here. its just all her fault" Regina says.
"I really do believe she's sorry though" Robin says
"She might be. That doesn't change the fact that its as much her fault now as it was then" regina said and robin didn't know how to reply. So he didn't.
The next morning, regina woke up alone in her bed. She rolled over and saw that it was 1pm. Regina then got out of bed and found a note on the table.
Regina, The kids are at school and Belle will pick them up, Im at work and will be working late tonight. didn't want to wake you as it was your first real night sleep. I love you. robin xo. Regina smiled at the note amd placed it back on the table. Regina made herself some pasta and sat on the sofa. Regina then caught up with all the shows she'd missed.
At around 3.30pm, Roland and Ava came running in with belle behind them.
"Mommy! Mommy!" Ava said running in
"Hello, how was school?" Regina smiled.
"cool!" Roland said with a smile as he sat down.
"What about you Ava?" Regina asked
"It was good!" Ava smiled and hugged her mom.
"I should be going, it was nice to see you doing so well Regina!" belle smiled
"thankyou" Regina smiled as she handed her her check. Belle thanked her and walked out.
Regina and her children watched TV and played Cat and mouse before Robin walked in.
"Hello love" Robin said kissing his wife
"Hello you two!" Robin smiled
"Hey daddy" both children said at the same time.
"Oh regina, Henry and his girlfriend are coming over tonight. They rang me before saying they were in town" Robin said with a smile, he was seeing his son for the first time in what seemed like forever.
"That great! What time?" Regina said.
"Around 8, Their bringing Pizza" Robin laughed.
When Henry arrived, the family sat around the table, talking about what had happened at school with Henry this past year and everyother thing. exepct Regina's current event, which she liked.
When the family were all done, Henry made an announcement.
"Dad, Regina. Me and Grace are here to tell you something.. important" Henry said and Grace smiled.
"oh god, you not pregnant are you?" Regina laughed
"no no, im not pregnant" Grace laughed
"We're getting married, and moving back home. well not in here, but in the house across the road." Henry smiled.
"Oh my god!" Regina smiled and hugged them.
"My boys all grown up" Robin laughed and hugged them aswell. The rest of the night was bliss. The whole family was back together. expect regina felt like she was missing someone. for the first time, regina missed Zelena..
