He was dead. Daniel was dead.
Regina stood at the door, unable to process the information. She had some many emotions and questions going though her mind, she didn't know how she felt. The police bid their farewell and Regina muttered a goodbye before closing the door. Robin was still at work and Roland and Ava were staying at Grace and Henry's for the weekend, Zelena was sat on the sofa, having come round for a her bag she left a few nights prior. Regina turned around, walked a few steps but her knees became weak and she held onto the desk to stop herself from falling. Zelena stood up quick to her sisters side, confused and worried.
"Regina? What's happened?" Zelena said, and with Zelena being a close friend of Daniels, Regina began to breakdown. Zelena and Daniel had something, they met again when Daniel got out of jail durning the few months Regina was away, they became really close, not dating close, but a bond.
"He's dead" Regina said, covering her mouth to muffle her cries.
"Who dead? Robin? Robin's dead? Oh my god-" Zelena said but with Regina shaking her head she stopped and continued with "Who's dead Regina?" Zelena said, holding Regina's left hand.
"Daniel. He's dead" Regina said and her cries came out as Zelena's expression changed.
"What? How?" Zelena said, hugging her sister as she cried.
"Car accident" Regina muffed as she hugged her sister tight at the loss of her first love, her first child's real father. Regina was once again, in pain.
A few hours later, Robin came in to find Regina asleep, due to the tears. Her head rested on her sisters thighs and her legs spread across the sofa, Zelena playing with her hair watching her sleep. Robin entered with a loud thud, and with a loud 'sh' from Zelena he looked at her, his facial expression asking what's happened.
"Daniel. Dead." She said quietly, and Robin gasped, shocked at the news.
"Car accident, she's literally just stopped crying" she informed him and Robin walked over, looking at Regina's red cheeks from crying.
"Is she okay? Mentally?" Robin asked, knowing a little thing could knock her treatment off.
"I think so, I mean he was her first love, father of her first child. I think she just hurts at the moment" Zelena smiles.
"How about you? You and Daniel had something." Robin said, sitting next her.
"I'm okay, you know, we've known him all our lives so I feel like I've lost a best friend, but I'm okay" Zelena smiles sadly. Robin gives her a small smile before getting up.
"Ava and Roland are staying at Henry and Grace's tonight so your welcome to stay if you please" Robin smiled
"I would love too, thanks." Zelena says, wanting to be with her sister.
A few moments the door went, startling Regina as she jolted up from her rest.
"It was just the door, I'll get it." Zelena said as Robin was having a shower. Regina nodded and sat up, rubbing her eyes, her heart still hurting from the sudden news.
"Mr and Mrs Butal, come in please" Zelena said, 'Daniels parents' Regina thought as she tried to compose herself.
"Regina dear, how are you?" Mrs Butal said, walking towards her.
"I'm good, how are you?" Regina asked her with sympathy.
"I've been better, I just had to see you, he loved you and that little boy. He had problems Regina, reasons why he couldn't be there for you both." She said and Regina nodded.
"I know" Regina sadly smiled.
"I hear Daniel taught you to speak Spanish? You used to have augments in Spanish. He recalled these memories with smiles on his face" Mrs Butal said with a small laugh.
"He did, and yes we did" Regina laughed at the memories and continued "I taught Zelena" Regina laughed as Zelena was talking to his father.
"Would you like to stay for tea? Roland and Ava are out for the night and me Zelena and my husband would love the company" Regina smiled.
"If it's not too much trouble" Mr Butal replied.
"Never, I'll be back in a minute" Regina said, and Zelena saw in her eyes she was going in a room to cry, she left her to it.
Robin walked into the bedroom to find Regina looking at a picture, curiously, he walked over.
"You look so young" Robin said, as the picture was her and Daniel at a park party when they were younger.
"I was 16, he used to be so nice. I wish I new what happened to change him" Regina said, her voice cracking.
"Hey, hey, look at me. You can re live the good memories, the times you laughed together, cried together" Robin smiled, putting her hair behind her ears.
"Get dressed, we have company" Regina smiled
"Who?" Robin asked
"His parents, be careful, his dad's Spanish" Regina laughed, knowing the language confused him.
Robin got dressed and joined the family down stairs, listening into all the good things about him.
"We've ordered Chinese, have you got money on you?" Regina asked Robin as she lay across him, the back of her head on his chest.
"I do" Robin said and kissed her head.
"Recuerdo llegar a casa y encontrar ella y daniel como el suyo, ella se convertiría realmente avergonzado . Los extraño día." Mrs Butal said, speaking Spanish so Robin could not hear, she didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable.
"What?" Robin laughed, causing Regina to chuckle.
"She said 'I remember when we used to walk in and find her and Daniel sat like that, and I used to get really embarrassed, which isn't true" Regina laughed and Robin nodded his head with a laugh.

After dinner Regina and Daniels parents were talking about how Daniel changed and what happened, whilst Zelena and Robin washed the pots, letting the three of them grieve by talking about him. Their attention was called to the living room when there were Spanish shouting happening.
"Nunca entendiste ! y en lugar de quedarse y ayudar a la izquierda y tomó a su hijo con usted! y luego cuando volvió demasiado ver a su hijo , usted se negó a dejarle ver roland ! nunca se preocupaba por él ! murió por tu culpa! él estaba en su camino hacia aquí !
You never understood ! and instead of staying and helping you left and took his son with you! and then when he came back too see his son, you refused to let him see roland! you never cared for him! he died because of you! he was on his way here!
"¡cómo te atreves! me encantó tu hijo ! ¡Le amaba! él bebió tanto que tuve que dejar! y secuestró a mi hijo ! él me dijo que no quería tener nada que ver con nosotros ! no te te atrevas a venir a mi casa y me acusan de no amar a tu hijo ! yo quería pasar el resto de mi vida con él ! él nos destruye !
how dare you! i loved your son! i loved him! he drank so much i had to leave! and he kidnapped my son! he told me he wanted nothing to do with us! dont you dare come in to my home and accuse me of never loving your son! i wanted to spend the rest of my life with him! he destroyed us!
"¡bueno! ¡Suficiente! tienes que dejar ! Cómo sabes lo difícil es esto en ella? ¿sabes lo que ella ha estado sin embargo? ¡Fuera!" Zelena screamed as she saw her sister was about to loose her temper.
As they were about to leave Daniels mom walked over to Regina and hit her across the face, whilst shouting the word 'whore' in Spanish. Regina then lost her temper and punched his mother square in the face and she fell to the floor.
"Get out!" Regina screamed and then went.
"Regina!" Robin shouted, not seeing this side of her before.
"Leave me alone" Regina shouted and stormed out of her house and into her car, she didn't know where she was going, but she was going.
