The boutique was luxurious, filled with rows of finely tailored suits, designer accessories, and the overwhelming scent of wealth. Hoseok stood beside Taehyung, panting slightly as he glared at the man who was leisurely browsing through racks of expensive clothes. His arms ached under the weight of six shopping bags stuffed to the brim with items Taehyung had already picked out.

As Taehyung turned to glance at him, his expression was one of mild amusement. “Why do you look like an angry bird?”

Hoseok forced a wide smile, though it was more unsettling than friendly, his teeth on full display. “That’s just my face,” he replied sweetly, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Taehyung hummed nonchalantly, unbothered, before turning back to the suits. Hoseok seethed silently, fantasizing about giving him the middle finger. Unfortunately, both his hands were occupied, so he settled for muttering, “Fuck you.”

The shopping trip dragged on. Taehyung moved at his own pace, inspecting every piece of fabric as if he were solving a life-or-death puzzle. Hoseok trailed behind, his arms trembling under the weight of the bags.

“Hold these,” Taehyung commanded without looking, tossing another jacket at Hoseok.

Hoseok caught it with a grunt, his jaw tightening as he muttered under his breath, “What am I, your personal coat rack?”

“What was that?” Taehyung asked, turning his head slightly.

“Nothing!” Hoseok replied quickly, plastering on his fake smile again.

Taehyung smirked knowingly but said nothing, continuing his leisurely exploration of the boutique. Hoseok followed, trying not to trip over his own feet as the bags swayed dangerously in his grip.

Finally, Taehyung paused, pulling a sleek black suit from a rack. He held it up and turned to Hoseok, squinting slightly as if evaluating him.

“What?” Hoseok asked, raising an eyebrow.

Taehyung didn’t answer immediately, his eyes scanning Hoseok from head to toe. Then, he smiled—mischievous and satisfied. “Perfect.”

“Perfect for what?” Hoseok asked, suspicion lacing his tone.

Taehyung’s grin widened as he handed the suit to Hoseok. “You’ll wear this to the party.”

“Party?” Hoseok echoed, his confusion evident.

Taehyung nodded. “It’s a conference party for business professionals. I’m expected to be there, and since you’re my assistant, you’re expected to be there too. Wherever I go, you go.”

“Oh,” Hoseok replied, blinking. “So… this is my suit?”

“Yes.” Taehyung’s voice was firm, but his expression softened. “Do you like it?”

Hoseok looked down at the suit, studying its impeccable tailoring and sleek design. It wasn’t bad—actually, it was stunning. His parents used to buy him suits like this before they’d disowned him, but he doubted he’d ever wear those again. This was a gift, or at least he thought it was. Either way, he couldn’t refuse.

He smiled, nodding. “Yeah. I like it.”

Taehyung’s boxy grin appeared, lighting up his face. There was something oddly charming about it, something that tugged at the corner of Hoseok’s lips despite his best efforts. He found himself smiling back.

Then, realization hit him like a ton of bricks. Why am I smiling at this annoying man who constantly ruins my mood? He frowned, shaking his head as if trying to clear away the intrusive thoughts.

Taehyung, oblivious to Hoseok’s internal turmoil, turned and gestured for him to follow. “Come on. Let’s pay for everything.”

Hoseok huffed quietly but obeyed, trailing after Taehyung toward the cashier. As they approached the counter, he tightened his grip on the bags and sighed. This was his life now—personal assistant to the world’s most demanding man.

And yet, as he watched Taehyung’s broad shoulders and confident stride, he couldn’t help but think… maybe it wasn’t all bad.
