Three years later...
Three years had passed since Hoseok and Taehyung had vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. Their world had shifted in ways Hoseok could never have imagined. No longer buried in the chaos of being Taehyung's personal assistant, Hoseok now enjoyed the fulfilling yet busy life of a stay-at-home father.
Their twin boys, Taehyun and Jisung, had quickly become the light of their lives. The two year old boys were the spitting image of their father, Taehyung, with matching wide eyes and mischievous grins that seemed to charm everyone they met.
It was a peaceful afternoon at the park. The twins sat on a soft picnic mat set out on the grass, crawling and giggling as they played with their favorite toys. Hoseok and Taehyung watched them from nearby, sitting side by side on the blanket.
Taehyun picked up a plush tiger and held it up triumphantly. "Tiggy go rawr!" he exclaimed in his little voice, his pronunciation slightly off but endearing.
"Rawr!" Jisung echoed, though his attention was divided between the toy and a butterfly that had landed near him. "Fwly bug! Catch fwly!"
"Jisung, no," Hoseok warned gently, laughing as he reached over to pull him back onto the mat. "Let the butterfly go, sweetie."
Taehyung smirked as he leaned back on his hands. "You’re too strict on them, Hobi. They’re just exploring the world."
Hoseok shot him a look. "Strict? They’re going to think it’s okay to grab bugs if you keep encouraging them like that. Next thing I know, they’ll bring a frog into the house."
Taehyun giggled, tilting his head up toward Hoseok. "Mama no wike fwogs?"
"No, I don’t," Hoseok replied, poking his son’s cheek playfully.
Taehyung leaned forward, scooping Jisung into his lap. "Well, they’re my kids, and if they want to bring frogs home, I’ll let them."
Hoseok huffed, crossing his arms. "You spoil them too much, Tae."
"And you love me for it," Taehyung teased, leaning over to plant a kiss on Hoseok’s cheek.
Hoseok rolled his eyes but couldn’t help the small smile that tugged at his lips.
Suddenly, Taehyun crawled over and tugged on Hoseok’s shirt. "Mama, hug!"
Hoseok picked him up, holding him close. "You’re such a little attention-seeker, you know that?"
Taehyun buried his face in Hoseok’s shoulder and mumbled, "Mama best."
Taehyung hugged Jisung, making funny faces at the baby who giggled now and then.
The sight made Hoseok’s heart swell.
"Sometimes, I can’t believe this is my life," Hoseok murmured.
Taehyung stopped and glanced at him, lowering Jisung back into his arms. "Why’s that?"
Hoseok smiled, his voice soft. "Because it’s perfect. I never thought I’d have something like this—a family, love, happiness. And it’s all because of you."
Taehyung’s expression softened as he leaned over, still holding Jisung. He leaned down, brushing a kiss against Hoseok’s lips. "You deserve all of this and more, Hobi. You’re my everything."
Taehyun clapped his hands, laughing at the kiss. "Mama! Dada kissy!"
"That’s right," Taehyung said, ruffling his son’s hair. "Your mama and I love each other very much."
Jisung tilted his head, his brow furrowed in thought. "Wuv Mama too!"
Hoseok’s heart melted as he hugged Taehyun closer. "I love you too, my sweet boys."
The family stayed at the park until the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. As they packed up their things, Taehyung reached out and intertwined his fingers with Hoseok’s.
"You’re happy, right?" Taehyung asked softly.
Hoseok looked at him, his smile glowing in the fading light. "More than I ever thought possible."
Taehyung leaned down, pressing a kiss to Hoseok’s forehead. "Good. Because I plan to keep making you happy for the rest of our lives."
As they walked back to the car, the twins babbling in broken baby talk about their adventures, Hoseok couldn’t help but think how lucky he was.
This was his forever—a love that lasted, a family that filled his heart, and a life that was truly his own.
