Chapter 28 - Telepathy

Harry slowly walks towards the message written on the wall, I grab his hand, trying to stop him from moving forward, he turns to look at me, pulling a face I can't make out the expression of as he looks at our hands. He pulls it out quickly continuing to move forward, I turn to look at Ron who is clearly trying not to laugh and Hermione who has an unimpressed look on her face like I'm an idiot.

"It's Filch's cat," I hear Harry say and I turn around to see what he's looking at.

I look and it is indeed Mrs Noris, that concerns me as Filch loves his cat more than anything and if he finds us here with it there is no doubt that he'll be after us because there is no way he will nother to look into the actual culprit.

"Guys we should leave before someone thinks it was us," I say looking back at them it only takes me a few steps before I collide with someone.

"Watch it idiot," I hear a familiar voice say.

I turn to look at Draco who's face pulls the same awkward look as Harry's when he realises it's me.

"You're calling me an idiot?" I say to him scowling

"Uh- yeah, I am," he retorts poorly.

"Surely seen as you were facing me when I collided you're the idiot for not stopping?"

"You should have been looking where you were going."

I roll my eyes and take a few steps back realises I was still in his personal space, I move back over to where I had started walking from when I realise the four of us are cornered by two large groups of students. I look amongst the faces in the crowd and the distress and surprise is clear, I do have to stop myself from laughing when I notice Percy blocking Colin from taking a photo.

"Enemies of the heir beware? You'll be next mud-bloods"

At Draco's comment I see tears prick in the corner of Hermione's eyes, I have a feeling that Draco has been saving that since I stopped him in te courtyard, I'm not quite sure why Hermione is so upset though. I look over to Harry and give him a look of why is Hermione upset?.

I don't know

I hear Harry respond, I'm shocked for a second that he replied out loud before I realise he didn't.

Harry and I's grins spread wide on our faces at the realisation that my mind reading goes both ways, this is awesome. I also have to stop myself from laughing after Harry says "hair changy thingy".

We have to tell the others about this

"What are you two smiling at?" Filch asks us, "don't be proud of yorselves for killing my cat."

Whilst talking to Harry I hadn't even realised that Filch had made his way through the crowd.

"You've murdered my cat, I'll kill you, I'll kill you both."

I'm releaved to see Professor Dumbledore appear from behind Draco's lot.

"Argus!" he cuts of Filch, as he's about to continue he notices the message on the wall, "everyone will procede to their dormitories," I try my best to make my way outof there before I can be called back "everyone execpt you four."
