Rose is a runaway. She ran away when she was 13, joing a group home in hopes to be taken anywhere but her parents house. It hasn't happened yet. No one wishes to take care of a 16 year old. At least, that's what she thought, until she saw Taylor Swi...
This is only because I felt like it was going to be jumping around too much, and I wanted Rose to have a part in SNTV 😅
BUT THIS CHAPTER??? THIS IS STRAIGHT ROMANCE.
Enjoy these lesbians😏

Being onstage and touring was tiring, so after New York, Taylor and I decided I would take a break and stay home, It would only be for a week, and I would stay with Harley and her family overnight. We would just watch movies and eat snacks in her bed. We were watching The Mask tonight, and her head was lying in my lap. We were always doing this, so I just unconsciously ran my hands through her hair as the movie progressed. She just snuggled deeper into my core. The movie ended, but Harley didn't move to turn it off. When I peeked down, she was sleeping soundly. I chuckled, gently reaching across and closing the laptop before moving her head to her pillow and putting back her laptop. I grabbed my blanket and lay down on the floor, grabbing my phone to text Taylor.

As I put my phone up, I immediately felt my eyes dropping. I fell asleep less than a minute after that.
~
When I woke up, Harley was changing in her closet into a crop top and some sweatpants. I looked her up and down, realizing I usually didn't see her figure this way. I'm no better than a man. I looked away after that though, just as she turned around. "Oh! Good morning!" she said, smiling. "You haven't missed much." Her crop top was white with a rainbow heart in the center of it.
"Oh my God. It's Pride already?" I asked. sitting up now. Last Pride we had an influx of kids at the home, homophobic parents and such. "Dude, it was just April." Harley chuckled, helping me up.
"Now, why were you on the floor?" she asked, as I put my pillows and blanket back where I found them.
"You were comfy on the bed," I explained, and we walked out together. Harley looked for her mom, but we did wake up late, so she was out. A note on the fridge proved our thoughts. I laughed as Harley's mom reminded me of the second night I had spent here. Very... not platonic, thanks to the drinks. I kind of liked it though. I shook my head out of the memory.
"Work called me in. NO DRINKING. Go to the mall or something. Money on your card."
"Sweet! Alright, breakfast or brunch?" Harley said, and I looked in the fridge. I pulled out some eggs, and Harley took them carefully, placing them in a bowl. "Alright, I'll do something with these. Go get ready, I did it while you were sleeping." I nodded, heading to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, fixed my hair, and changed into a T-shirt and jeans. It took me about 30 minutes to come out, so when I did, I saw Harley on her phone, and egg sandwiches on the table.
"She cooks!" I joked as I sat down. "Thank you, Harley. What's the plan for today, then?" I asked, taking my first bite. Runny egg yolk. Yum.
"We can go to the mall like my mom suggested." A pause. "Or we could find an event. A parade, I mean." She wasn't looking me in the eye as usual, but I could assume what she was hinting at. I smirked and nodded. I finished my sandwich fairly quickly after that.

We found a nearby parade. I walked behind Harley, hiding my face. I was scared that someone would recognize me. It wasn't as crowded as the actual New York City parade, but it was big enough. At some point, Harley had my hand in hers and was dragging me through streets, passing through vendors and people dancing to Gaga and artists of the caliber. "Rose?" I heard, and my heart started racing. Had someone recognized me from the concerts? "It's Dani! Hi!" I spun around to see the familiar face and immediately let go of Harley to give her a hug. Harley walked away after waving, and I focused on Dani. "You ghosted us, that's not nice! Guess going onstage with-" I cut her off with a look, and she laughed. "You know what I meant. Oh my gosh, your girlfriend is so cute," she said, and I faltered.
"She's not my girlfriend," I said as Ellie came by with fries. "Ellie!"
"Rose! You have a girlfriend?" she asked, and I chuckled as I wrapped her in a hug. Dani pointed. Harley out subtly. "Oh, she is gorgeous."
"They were holding hands when I found her," Dani said, and Ellie gasped like a middle-schooler. "They're like us before we made it official." Ellie groaned.
"Don't remind me of that!" Ellie laughed. Dani nudged her and Ellie looked at me, a little bit more serious now. "When was the last time you checked the group chat? Are we muted?" I gasped as I pulled out my phone.
"Oh my gosh, yes, I'm so sorry, you guys were spamming me when I went onstage-" I paused. "Alice left?"
"Yeah uh. You missed it. She got fostered." My face lit up. "They're getting her new contacts so we gave her our numbers. It's just a matter of time." I squealed. We caught up a bit more, me telling them about the secrets of the tour and such. More often than not, I caught myself looking over at Harley. She was dancing her ass off, looking anywhere but people's faces. That's a great part of dancing. You can stare anywhere but the audience and it can be considered dance. Dani and Ellie cleared their throats, and I looked at them to see them done with their food and holding hands.
"Go to her," Dani said, in a dramatic movie voice. "You know, deep down, you like her. And if she started with the hand-holding, that's a sign she might like you back." I rolled my eyes as I hugged them good-bye.
"When I can, we're having a massive sleepover." They laughed, and went away, waving. I took a deep breath and made my way towards Harley.
"Rose! Come dance!" I barely had time to agree, as she grabbed my hand and dragged me to the center. "I've only danced like this with one person!" she yelled over the music as we did all bunch of crazy moves. "You Need to Calm Down" came on and I started cackling. I started singing as Harley looked at me. Eye contact. She made eye contact with me. I danced the choreograph with her, adding some impromptu spins and such. I dipped her, and she blushed. She opened her mouth, but I put my finger over her lips gently, pulling her up. The song ended, and Harley looked tired of dancing, so we decided to go for a walk.
There was a nearby park. I hadn't been her before, but Harley had. She even had a favorite bench. We sat down, and she slipped her hand in mine again. This can't just be platonic. Right?
(Rose / Harley)
What happens if they were wrong? I wonder if she's getting the hints... If I ruin this, what will happen to our friendship? Maybe she just doesn't like me... but she's holding my hand? Maybe I should just go for it... I could just... kiss her? No, that's too sudden. I'll just go for it. I'll just be upfront and ask her.
