Rose is a runaway. She ran away when she was 13, joing a group home in hopes to be taken anywhere but her parents house. It hasn't happened yet. No one wishes to take care of a 16 year old. At least, that's what she thought, until she saw Taylor Swi...
We were landing when I turned on my music. The rest of the trip was nerve racking, and Harley still hadn't gotten back to me. The first thing on my mind was to go see her. Taylor dismissed the dancers, and just as we were getting in the car, Tree pulled Taylor aside. I waited in the car with Colin. "Hey, kid, you hungry?" Colin asked, and I thought about it. I had only had a smoothie before boarding.
"I could use some food," I said, nodding. Colin plugged in an address, and when Taylor got in, she grabbed my hand. It felt like it was more than just that. "What?" I asked, immediately on guard.
"I'm starving." Colin smirked in his rearview mirror. "Oh, and we got in contact with your brother's foster family. It's going be tricky, but we're going to see if we can get you together." I gasped, hugging Taylor.
"Oh, thank you... so much," I said while hugging her. She planted a gentle kiss on my head, chuckling. I looked up at her, a little bit confused and taken aback.
"Oh, my God, I am so sorry, I don't know-" I cut her off with my laugh. "I think my hunger is getting to me. Colin?" The car started moving, and Taylor and I discussed the plans for the next stop of the show.

Colin pulled into the same Subway that me and Taylor had first gone to, the day she took me in. The workers recognized us from then, and since they remembered our orders, they were ready pretty quickly. I took a bunch of pictures with them, then got to eating. Colin was eating with us now, munching his spiceball of a sub. Didn't even look remotely mild. I had an Airpod in (thank you Taylor for surprising me because I hate asking for things), so I handed the other to Taylor. Paramore was blasting, and Taylor hummed along. "You know, Hayley and I are pretty close." I had forgotten about that. "Wait, you still haven't listened to the album, have you?"
I shook my head, laughing. "Nope, still confused. Honestly, I'm about to take matters into my own hands," I joked, but as I opened socials, something washed over me. Still nothing from Harley.
"What's wrong?" Taylor asked, Colin intrigued now too. I shrugged. "Rose."
"Harley hasn't texted in a few days." Taylor raised an eyebrow, confused. "Me too."
"I'll text her and her parents. She's probably been busy." I nodded, trying to convince myself of that. But Taylor was off. Whatever. Taylor typed into her phone, then set it down, singing along to "All I Wanted." I laughed as she picked up a salt shaker and started fake singing into it. Then, some lights flashed. Paparazzi.
Can't have anything nice no more, goddamn.
Colin got up, shielding us with his jacket. "You guys ready to leave?" I turned to Taylor, and she nodded. We wrapped our leftovers up, then made our way to the car, getting in. I made a couple silly poses, but Taylor pulled me in, giving me a "Tree's always watching" look. My phone Bluetoothed to the car, and the last seconds of "All I Wanted" blasted. That really long, held out guitar note. Then, "Girl at Home" played, and I jumped into singer/dancer mode from my seat. The ride home stayed like that, fun for me and Taylor.
When we got home. I realized Harley's car wasn't home. She was probably on a trip, like Taylor had suggested during the car ride. Probably without signal as well. That sort of put me at ease. I walked into the house, getting Meredith and Benji before going to my room. I had my new PS4 (thanks to Taylor's insistence to spoil me) on my bed, and she sent me to try it out. I didn't know what to get, so I decided to text the one person who might've.

(my app broke shhhhhh)
I went downstairs to the kitchen, requests ready, and Taylor was sitting on a stool, smiling at her phone, on a call with a guy. "Okay, I'll see you in a bit. Bye!" She hung up her phone, looking at my amused face. "What? I can't talk to a guy?"
"No, of course you can!" I said, smiling. "Just... please tell me he's nice."
"Right now? He's one of the nicest," she responded. "What did you need, kid?"
"Tyler recommended some games for the PlayStation. Could you buy them for me...?" I asked, voice soft and shaking.
"Oh my God. She's finally asking me for money. Hold please," she said, holding up a finger. "Spence? Hey, how close is that card I asked ya for? Oh, really? I didn't see.. Lemme just..." Taylor got up and walked towards her room, then came out with a card in her hand. "This is yours." I stared at it.
"Tay, what?" I asked, and she just put it closer to my hand.
"It's a debit card. Every month, you'll get an allowance, and you can use it for whatever. But please, just keep it legal and appropriate." I was still staring at the piece of plastic in her hand. She went to hand it into my hand, but dropped it on the island on accident.
Never mind, it wasn't plastic. It was metal.
"Taylor... thank you," I said, still not picking it up. Taylor did it for me, handing it into my hand and folding my fingers over it.
"Now go play with your brother." I laughed as I rushed up to my room and texted Tyler that I would need help to set this up. Next to the box was a hard drive, and an ethernet cable was sticking out of the wall already. The hard drive read "1 TB". This was about to be really fun.
