HEY WELCOME BACK!!

I LOVE the idea for this arc but when I was planning it was... kinda sloppy and rushed so I might move some stuff around!!

Guess who we're meeting in this arc🤓🤓

And as always, suggestions and requests to add to the story are always open!!

July 7th/Rose

~~

3 weeks later, tour was treating me good. I learned more choreography , and Taylor head now let me go on stage for Red, Rep, 1989, and Midnights since I practiced, and the occasional folklore. I had slowly learned the other eras as well, but Taylor did not want me to rush into them. Other than that, I was getting hungry for being on stage that much, so sometimes I skipped surprise songs to eat. I had already made an insane collection of bracelets from the fans, some actually specifically made for me. And I always wore them during the rest of the show. Enough of the summary.

Somehow, I got sick when we got to Kansas City, so I decided to miss out. By "I decided", I mean, Taylor made me stay off stage. She said I would look cool in the tent anyways with the other people. So that's when I spent the night in between some football guys, Mike, Liam, Mr. Scott, and Andrea. After singing for the temp for a while, my voice started to hurt, so I stayed fairly quiet. This was around the Rep era. this one guy in particular was really nice to me throughout the night, offering to get me some water or seeing if I needed anything. Too nice if you ask me.

When I made no intention to leave for 1989, I guess people around me truly realize that I wasn't going to be on stage. The football guy from earlier was next to me now, looking at Taylor and all. When she started the chorus of style. I heard him call out to me over the noise. "Hey girlie," he said, extending his hand."Travis. You're Rose, right?" I nodded, shaking his hand. "I love 1989, and it's kind of sad that you're not up there." A pause between the both of us as blank space started and he continued. "I've heard your voice, it's amazing on the set list." I guess I signaled something with my face, because Mr. Scott moved and squeezed in between me and him.

"You okay, kid?" Mr. Scott asked. Mr. Travis seemingly took the hint and panicked a small amount.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make it weird," he apologized. "I'll back off." Just as moved away, Mr. Colin came to me telling me that I was needed backstage. I suddenly remembered everything. Speak Now TV release was today. The music video. I had completely spaced about it. I got under the Willow Cloak and was led backstage. I changed into a dress, a purple one with stars and glitter. Then, Colin passed me a note. Taylor's apparently.

I still hadn't listened to the vault tracks, per Taylor's request

I still hadn't listened to the vault tracks, per Taylor's request. Something about wanting to get my reaction on camera. As I awaited near the door, I heard other footsteps.

"Hey sweetie!" I heard. I turned around, grinning as I know who it was already.

"Taywolf!" I said, running up to him and wrapping him in a hug. I had seen him multiple times after the shoot, Taylor invited him over to our house on the days we were on break. I let go of the hug and waved at Presley. "Hey!" We high-fived (she didn't like hugs) and talked silently backstage as Taylor prepped to call us out.

"So I have some friends who want to say hi to you," I heard, and the crowd went crazy. I put my mic in my hand and cleared my throat, trying to help my sore throat. "This first person is kinda sick right now, but she wouldn't miss out on saying hi to all of you... It is her acting debut and she's one of the sweetest, nicest kids I have ever met. You guys know and love her apparently, give it up for Rose Williams!" I took that as my cue to walk out and greet the crowd, waving as I walked to Taylor and wrapped her in a hug. "Did you guys like her performance?" she asked, and all of a sudden I was reassured that I wasn't as bad as I thought.

"Thank you," I said, then realized my voice was HOARSE, so I gasped and just put the mic behind my back, laughing.

"So... It got worse over the night apparently. Needs some tea." A collective laugh from the audience. "Anyways! This next person," Taylor started, and I felt myself disassociating. I felt small pinches and tried snapping out of it, but slowly felt myself pulling away. I snapped back when I heard Taylor introduce Taywolf. Presley had my microphone now. My hands were in my pockets. Yes, my dress has pockets.

Taywolf came out and did a backflip, and I was laughing along with the others. He hugged Taylor, then walked over to me and squeezed me into a hug again. The rest of me being in stage was a blur. The next thing I remember is being in the tent and talking with Mr. Travis. Then I was on the floor.

"You okay?" he asked, extending his hand. I looked around as I took it then got up. Taywolf, Presley, Colin, Andrea, and Mr. Scott were all looking at us.

"Yeah, sorry," I said, figuring out what was happening. My voice was still sore, and I rubbed at my throat to help a bit.

"Don't be, I was the one who bumped into you. I'm sorry," he said smiling. He had a goofy mustache and a really nice smile. I grounded myself and looked at the screen, finally getting a little bit of my brain function back. Taylor was on Mastermind, so I mouthed along as Colin got me some water for my sore throat.

"Thanks," I said, chugging the water down. Now, Karma was playing, and I was vibing along, doing the dance in the tent. Mr. Travis walked over to me and yelled over the music and the fans.

"Hey kid! Could you get this bracelet to Taylor?" he asked, and I guessed I must've looked puzzled, because he added, "Your mom's allowed to get bracelets, right?"  Right about then, Taylor did her final bow.

"Oh! Yeah, I can definitely get that to her," I answered, and he handed me 2. "Um, one is for you. I was hoping I got it to you during surprise songs when you come down this way, but," he said, shrugging. "The one with numbers is for Taylor." I looked at mine and laughed, tearing up as I read the words.

"Thank you for this," I said, adding the bracelet to my arm, already full from other bracelets. I guess I took them earlier. When I looked at Taylor's, I realized it was a phone number. Bold, I thought, chuckling as I put it in my dress pocket and made my way backstage. I waved to the fans, and as I waited for Taylor in the car, I fiddled with my bracelet. I read it over and over again.

"You found A Place in This World"

"That's pretty!" Taylor commented as she got in. I smiled as I reached in my dress pockets and handed the bracelet to her. She tilted her head, confused, but seemingly understood the concept. "Who gave this to you?" she asked.

"Some guy named Travis in the VIP tent," I answered, shrugging. Taylor nodded, thinking. She slipped it on and under her sweatshirt sleeve. I could see her gears turning, but I fiddled with mine as I slowly fell asleep on Taylor's lap. She chuckled and ran her fingers through my hair, and that was what helped me fully fall asleep.
