Hoseok emerged from the kitchen, a tray balanced expertly in his hands, interrupting the low conversation between Jimin and Yoongi. He carefully set the tray on the glass coffee table, the clinking of porcelain filling the room.
Without hesitation, Hoseok boldly perched himself on Jimin’s lap. Jimin hummed softly in approval, his arms snaking around Hoseok’s waist as he nuzzled into Hoseok’s neck. He inhaled deeply, his lips grazing Hoseok’s skin as he murmured, “You smell so good, baby.”
Hoseok chuckled lightly, threading his fingers through Jimin’s hair. “Stop it, Jimin, we have company.”
Yoongi’s gaze flickered to the couple before he quickly looked away, picking up a cup of coffee. He sipped it slowly, his thoughts racing. Get it together, Yoongi. That’s your brother’s husband.
The room settled into an awkward silence until Jimin spoke, his tone curious. “So, hyung, why did Jungkook kick you out this time?”
Yoongi shrugged, swirling his coffee lazily. “Same old argument. He doesn’t want a child.”
Jimin frowned slightly. “Oh…”
Hoseok’s expression mirrored Jimin’s disappointment. “Well,” he said softly, “it’s his choice if he doesn’t want one.”
Yoongi rolled his eyes, his voice laced with frustration. “We’ve been married for seven years, Hoseok. I’ve waited long enough. I want a child.”
Hoseok looked down, biting his lip. The words struck a chord within him. He wanted a child too, desperately, but no matter how much he dreamed of it, Jimin simply couldn’t get him pregnant. Still, Hoseok wasn’t complaining. Jimin was his everything, and that was enough.
Sensing the heaviness in the air, Yoongi waved it off. “Forget about that. How did you two meet, anyway?”
Hoseok’s face lit up, a radiant smile spreading across his lips. He began recounting their story, and Jimin watched him like he was the most precious thing in the world—as though nothing else mattered.
“We went to the same high school,” Hoseok started, his voice warm. “At first, we were enemies.”
Jimin laughed softly, burying his face in Hoseok’s shoulder. “I was not that bad.”
Hoseok arched a brow, grinning. “You were my senior, Jimin, and a bully. You tormented me every chance you got.”
Jimin’s ears turned red as he blushed, looking down. “Okay, maybe I was a little rough,” he admitted. “But it was only because I wanted your attention!”
Hoseok ran his fingers soothingly through Jimin’s hair. “Well, you got it. After a while, we started getting close. I helped him study, and from there… we just clicked.”
Jimin smiled sheepishly, holding Hoseok closer. “He made me a better person,” he confessed.
Hoseok nodded, his gaze soft. “We started dating and got married in college. We even went to the same university and graduated together.”
Yoongi leaned back, tilting his head slightly. “Wow,” he said, his tone neutral. “That’s quite the fairy tale.”
“It is,” Hoseok said proudly, his eyes shining. “And we’ve been living happily ever after since then.”
Jimin grinned, nuzzling against Hoseok. “Isn’t my baby amazing?”
Yoongi’s smirk returned. “Very.”
Hoseok blushed, poking Jimin’s chest. “Stop doing too much, Jimin.”
Jimin chuckled, kissing Hoseok’s temple. “I’ll never stop. You deserve it.”
Yoongi’s expression darkened slightly, his smirk faltering. “But I thought our parents didn’t approve of your marriage,” he said, directing his question at Jimin.
Jimin scoffed, waving a dismissive hand. “They didn’t, but that wasn’t going to stop me from claiming what’s mine.”
Yoongi raised an eyebrow. “Yours?”
Jimin nodded firmly. “Hoseok is mine.”
Hoseok groaned, hiding his face in Jimin’s hair. “You’re embarrassing me…”
Yoongi’s jaw tightened, and he looked away. “Not yours for long,” he muttered under his breath, too low for Hoseok and Jimin to hear.
To lighten the mood, Yoongi changed the topic. “So… do you two ever think about having a child?”
Hoseok stammered, caught off guard. “We’ve been married for seventeen years. We’ll have a child when we’re ready.”
Yoongi hummed, his expression unreadable. “Okay.”
Jimin bit his lip, the faintest trace of sadness flashing across his face. Hoseok noticed and leaned closer, whispering, “It’s okay. A child will come when it needs to come.”
Jimin smiled, his eyes shining with love as he pecked Hoseok’s lips. “What did I do to deserve you?”
Their tender moment was interrupted by Yoongi’s voice. “I’m hungry.”
Hoseok quickly stood from Jimin’s lap, brushing invisible lint off his clothes. “I’ll go start cooking.”
He walked toward the kitchen, and Yoongi’s eyes followed him, unable to tear his gaze away.
Jimin caught the look and frowned. “Why are you staring at my hubby like that?”
Yoongi blinked, feigning confusion. “What?”
Jimin’s lips parted to say more, but Hoseok’s voice rang out from the kitchen. “Jimin, can you come help me in here?”
Without hesitation, Jimin stood, calling out, “Coming, my love!” He practically ran to Hoseok, leaving Yoongi alone in the living room.
Yoongi let out a sigh of relief, shaking his head. “Jimin’s so whipped,” he muttered, a scoff escaping his lips. “What’s so special about him?”
The silence that followed was deafening, but Yoongi’s mind was far from quiet.
Jimin calm down🤭
