Jimin stood in their shared bedroom, his luggage splayed open on the bed as he hastily shoved clothes into it. His hands trembled with each garment he added, but he didn’t stop. He couldn’t. If he did, he would break all over again. His jaw clenched, his lips set in a hard line as he tried to ignore the quiet, heart-wrenching sobs coming from Hoseok, who stood beside him.
Hoseok’s fingers twitched before he hesitantly reached for the pile of clothes Jimin had just packed, pulling them out of the luggage with shaking hands.
“Hoseok!” Jimin screamed, his voice cracking as he yanked the clothes back and threw them into the bag again. “Leave it! Just—leave me alone! You’ve already done enough!”
“I’m sorry, Jimin,” Hoseok whispered, his voice barely audible through his tears.
Jimin scoffed bitterly, his eyes narrowing as he shoved another shirt into the bag. “Sorry? Sorry won’t fix this, Hoseok! I’m leaving. You can stay here, fuck Yoongi all you want without worrying about me being in your way—that’s what you wanted, right?”
“No!” Hoseok shook his head frantically, tears streaming down his face. “That’s not true! Jimin, please—”
“Stop it!” Jimin yelled, his voice breaking under the weight of his emotions.
Hoseok just kept on crying.
Jimin scoffed bitterly, his voice venomous. “Those tears won’t work on me again, Hoseok. They’re just—” He stopped, his throat catching as he looked at Hoseok’s crumpled form. It was a lie; the sight of Hoseok crying was shredding him from the inside out.
Suddenly, Hoseok grabbed the luggage and hurled it onto the floor. The sound of it crashing against the hardwood silenced the room.
Jimin’s chest heaved with anger as he turned to Hoseok, his eyes blazing. Without thinking, he grabbed Hoseok by the hair and yanked him closer. Hoseok gasped, his hands flying up to grip Jimin’s wrist.
“Why are you doing this?” Jimin hissed, his voice low and trembling with rage. “Why are you making this harder than it already is?”
“I love you,” Hoseok whispered, his voice breaking.
Jimin let out a bitter laugh, tears pooling in his eyes as his anger boiled over. “Love? Don’t say that word to me! You don’t get to say that after what you did. You’re a cheat, Hoseok. A liar.”
Hoseok’s bottom lip trembled as he opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out.
Jimin pushed Hoseok back onto the bed, climbing over him and pinning him down. His hands braced on either side of Hoseok’s head, and tears began to fall freely from his eyes, dripping onto Hoseok’s cheeks.
“Why?” Jimin choked out, his voice raw. “What didn’t I do for you? I gave you everything! A home, a life, my heart—I gave you everything. Yes, I couldn’t give you a child, but I tried. God, I fucking tried.”
Hoseok bit his lip, his jaw trembling as he reached up to cup Jimin’s tear-streaked face. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, Jimin. Please—”
“Stop it!” Jimin screamed, swatting Hoseok’s hands away. “Stop apologizing! Your words mean nothing to me anymore!”
Hoseok flinched, his hands trembling as he pressed them against Jimin’s chest.
Jimin’s shoulders shook as he cried, his voice breaking with each word. “How could you do this to us, Hoseok? How could you let this—this thing ruin everything we built together? Was I not enough for you? Was I not good enough to keep you satisfied?”
Hoseok shook his head, tears streaming down his face, but he couldn’t form the words to defend himself.
Jimin let out a bitter laugh, shaking his head in disbelief. “And out of all the people in the world, you chose him. My own brother. Do you even realize what this is doing to me?”
He clenched his fists, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. “I’m holding myself back right now, but all I want to do is beat Yoongi to a pulp. God, I want to hurt him so badly I can’t even think straight.”
Jimin’s voice cracked as he pointed to his chest, his hand trembling. “But this—this hurts more. It hurts so fucking much, Hoseok. You broke me.”
Hoseok’s breath hitched as he reached for Jimin, his voice trembling. “Jimin, I—”
“Shut up!” Jimin snapped, his eyes blazing with fury. “Just shut up! Don’t you dare say you love me. If you loved me, you wouldn’t have done this. You wouldn’t have let him touch you. You wouldn’t have let him take what was mine!”
Hoseok’s eyes widened, his breath coming in shallow gasps as he shook his head. “No, Jimin, it wasn’t like that—”
“Don’t lie to me!” Jimin roared, his voice echoing through the room. “Did he claim you? Did he mark you? Did he fuck you so well you thought you’d lose your mind? Did you scream his name or mine, Hoseok? Answer me!”
Hoseok’s sobs grew louder, his body trembling under Jimin’s intense gaze.
“Look at me!” Jimin ordered, his voice harsh. “I want to see your shame. I want to see the guilt in your eyes.”
Hoseok hesitated before lifting his tear-filled eyes to meet Jimin’s.
“You disgust me,” Jimin spat, his voice dripping with venom. “I hate you, Hoseok.”
“No,” Hoseok whispered, shaking his head as he cupped Jimin’s face. “You don’t mean that. I know you don’t mean that. You love me, Jimin. I know you do.”
“No I don't love you anymore!"
“Yes you do! You love me.”
Jimin’s expression softened for a brief moment before he looked away, his shoulders sagging. Without another word, he climbed off Hoseok and walked to the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind him.
He leaned against the door, his eyes closed as silent sobs wracked his body.
Outside, Hoseok lay on the bed, his hands covering his face as he cried into the silence of the room.
Jimin is so hurt 😭
