Two days later...
Two days had passed since Yoongi arrived at Jimin and Hoseok's home. On the surface, things seemed to be going well. That was Jimin’s impression, at least. He’d noticed nothing amiss, brushing aside any minor tension as part of adjusting to living together.
But beneath the surface, Hoseok was wrestling with unease. Yoongi was bold—fearlessly so. His subtle (and not-so-subtle) touches and flirtatious remarks unnerved Hoseok. Yet, Hoseok held his tongue, unwilling to risk disrupting the fragile bond between Jimin and Yoongi.
This evening, Jimin was still at work, leaving Hoseok and Yoongi alone in the house. Hoseok tried to focus on dinner, humming softly as he stirred the pot. The comforting aroma of spices filled the kitchen, momentarily distracting him from his discomfort.
He flinched when strong arms suddenly wrapped around his waist from behind. Thinking it was Jimin, a wide smile broke across his face as he turned around. “You’re home earl—”
The words died in his throat. His smile vanished when he saw Yoongi standing there, a smirk playing on his lips.
“Yoongi,” Hoseok said sharply, frowning as he shoved Yoongi’s hands off his waist. “Don’t ever try that again in your life.”
Yoongi chuckled, his amusement evident. But instead of stepping back, and Before Hoseok could react, Yoongi gripped his thighs and, with a surprising show of strength, hoisted him up. Hoseok’s legs instinctively wrapped around Yoongi’s waist for balance.
“Yoongi!” Hoseok gasped, clutching at Yoongi’s shoulders. His heart raced, anger surging through him. “What the hell are you doing? Put me down!”
Yoongi’s smile only grew wider. “I like you,” he said simply, as though the words carried no consequences.
Hoseok’s eyes widened in disbelief. “You’re insane,” he hissed. “You’re married! And I’m your brother’s husband!”
“I don’t care,” Yoongi replied, his tone calm, almost dismissive.
Hoseok’s jaw clenched. “You’d better start caring. Now put me the fuck down!”
Instead of obeying, Yoongi carried him to the kitchen counter and set him down. His hands gripped Hoseok’s thighs firmly, his thumbs brushing along the soft fabric of Hoseok’s pants. Hoseok squirmed, trying to push him away, but Yoongi leaned closer, their faces mere inches apart.
Hoseok’s breath hitched when Yoongi’s lips inched toward his. Acting on instinct, he raised his hand and slapped Yoongi across the face, the sound echoing through the kitchen.
Yoongi’s head snapped to the side, his cheek reddening from the impact. For a moment, there was silence.
Hoseok pointed a trembling finger at him, lips parted to speak, but no words came out. He was too furious—too overwhelmed. He finally let out a deep sigh and gathered himself.
“Listen carefully,” Hoseok said, his voice low and firm. “I won’t tell Jimin about this. But if you ever try something like this again, I won’t hesitate to tell him everything. Do you understand?”
Yoongi turned back to face him, the smirk returning to his lips despite the sting on his cheek. “Loud and clear,” he said casually.
Hoseok glared at him before pushing him away with all his strength. Sliding off the counter, he adjusted his clothes and went back to the stove to continue his cooking, cussing under his breath when the food almost started to burn, his chest heaved with anger and adrenaline.
Yoongi clicked his tongue, his smirk fading into something more contemplative. “You’re more complicated than I thought,” he murmured under his breath. A wicked glint returned to his eyes. “But not for long.”
The kitchen grew quiet again, the tension lingering in the air like an uninvited guest.
