Three days later...

The house was quiet, a heavy, oppressive silence filling every corner. It had been three days since the chaos that tore them apart—three days since Hoseok’s world had begun crumbling in earnest.

Now, he sat alone on the bed he had once shared with Jimin, the divorce papers resting on his lap like an unbearable weight.

His trembling fingers traced the edges of the paper, stopping at the bold lines where their signatures belonged. Jimin’s name was already there, written with the same meticulous precision that Jimin applied to everything. Jimin had signed it.

Hoseok stared at the empty space where his name should go. It felt like staring into an abyss.

For a moment, he thought he might throw the papers away, tear them apart, or let the ink of his tears smudge the lines so badly they’d be unreadable. But instead, he placed them aside and buried his face in his hands.

The bed, the room, the house—they were full of ghosts. Everywhere he turned, Jimin was there, and so was Yoongi.

But the memories of Jimin were the ones that cut the deepest.

Hoseok turned his head and glanced at the closet. He could see Jimin in his mind, standing there with his hands on his hips, scolding Hoseok as he folded their clothes.

“Hobi, you’re hopeless. Who folds shirts like this? It’s like you’re crumpling a piece of paper!”

“They’re just clothes!” Hoseok had argued, laughing.

“They’re our clothes,” Jimin had replied, pulling him into a hug from behind. “And you’ll thank me when you’re not running around like a maniac looking for something to wear.”

The memory made Hoseok smile through his tears. He could feel Jimin’s arms around him again, the way they always seemed to hold him together when he was falling apart.

But there were other memories, too—ones that burned as much as they warmed.

Like the night Jimin had danced for him in their living room, wearing nothing but Hoseok’s oversized hoodie. The music had been soft and sultry, and Jimin’s movements were slow and teasing.

“You’re so beautiful,” Hoseok had whispered, breathless as he watched Jimin sway.

“Only for you,” Jimin had replied, pulling Hoseok close until their bodies were pressed together. “Always for you.”

That night had ended with Hoseok pinned to the couch, Jimin’s lips marking every inch of his skin, whispering promises of forever between kisses.

Hoseok shook his head, his heart aching. Forever. How foolish they had been to believe in it.

Then, there were the wild, unrestrained moments.

He remembered the night Jimin had dragged him into the shower after a long day, their laughter echoing off the tiled walls as Jimin turned the water ice cold just to hear Hoseok squeal.

But laughter had quickly turned into gasps when Jimin pressed Hoseok against the wall, the cold water forgotten as Jimin’s hands and mouth roamed freely.

“You’re mine, Hobi,” Jimin had murmured against his lips, his voice dark and possessive. “Every inch of you. Don’t you ever forget that.”

Hoseok hadn’t forgotten. He could still feel the intensity of Jimin’s gaze, the weight of his touch, the way he had made Hoseok feel both worshipped and consumed.

But what good were memories now?

Hoseok’s eyes drifted back to the divorce papers. He picked up the pen with a trembling hand, the weight of it heavier than it had any right to be.

He signed his name slowly, each stroke of the pen feeling like it was carving into his soul. When he finished, he stared at the paper for a long moment, his tears blurring the ink.

“There,” he whispered to himself. “It’s done.”

But it didn’t feel done. Not really.

He stood and walked to the closet, pulling out the luggage he had buried there. He walked towards the bed. With it and placed it on the bed, he opened it, his fingers brushed against something familiar.

The memory book.

Hoseok’s heart clenched as he picked it up, his hands shaking as he flipped it open.

The first page was a photo of Jimin kissing his cheek, both of them grinning like fools.

The next page held a picture of Jimin smearing ice cream on Hoseok’s face, followed by a kiss that left Hoseok blushing and laughing.

The memories kept coming, each one a dagger to his heart.

There was the photo of their first trip together, the two of them posing in front of a waterfall with Hoseok on Jimin’s back. Another showed them tangled in fairy lights, decorating their first Christmas tree.

Then, he reached the final page.

His breath hitched as he saw Jimin’s handwriting, the words written with the same care and precision that Jimin always showed.

> “My love,

You’ll probably never read this, but if you do, it means something has gone wrong between us. I don’t know how or why, but I need you to know this: I love you. I’ve always loved you. From the moment I met you, you became my reason for everything.

You’re my sunshine, my safe place, my heart. Even when I’m angry, even when I mess up, even when it feels like the world is falling apart—I love you. I will always love you.

If you ever feel like you’re not enough, remember this: you’re more than enough. You’re everything. And even if we’re apart, I’ll always be yours.

Forever and always,
Jimin.”

Hoseok’s hands trembled as he clutched the book to his chest, his sobs breaking the silence of the room.

“Why did we ruin this?” he whispered, his voice raw. “Why did I ruin us?”

He placed the book back in the luggage and began packing his clothes in the same luggage. His movements were mechanical, his tears falling steadily as he worked.

When he finished, he turned to the bed. His wedding ring gleamed on his finger, a cruel reminder of what he was leaving behind.

He slid it off slowly, placing it beside the divorce papers. But his eyes caught on the promise ring he had worn for years.

Hoseok hesitated before slipping it back on. It wasn’t much, but it was something.

Grabbing the handle of his luggage, Hoseok took one last look at the room.

“This is it,” he murmured. “I’m leaving.”

And though he loved them—God, how he loved them—he knew it was time to go.

They had ruined each other. But even in ruin, love still lingered.

I don't know why this made me cry, when Jimin said 'My love' I lost it😭

Anyways, how is your day going? Have a nice day. I love y'all 😘
