Oli's POV

I was just around Joe and Caspar's playing video games when Joe decided to call her.
"Hold on mate I told Rachel I'd call her today." He said as he put down the Xbox controller and picked up his phone.
I decided to pretend like I hadn't already seen anything "So everything go alright with you two last night?"
"Yah we kissed so that was good" he responded very chill.
"Oh really?" I pretended like I didn't see it. When I came back to give Rachel her water she was kissing Joe. I guess that's how it goes. You meet a gorgeous girl and your mate ends up kissing her. I had no right to be mad at Joe about it though because he didn't know.
"Yah shh it's ringing" Joe said as he held the phone to his ear. "Hello? Hey it's Joe. Yah. Yah me too. Would you want to grab lunch? Ok cool. Yah come round here first and then we'll go"
I tried my best to hear her end of the conversation but all I heard was Joe scoring a date.
"Alright. See you then. Bye." He hung up the phone and I played it cool.
"So you've got a date?" I asked.
"Yah in 10 minutes. But you can continue playing with Caspar."
We continued to play our game of FIFA until we heard the doorbell.
Joe paused the game and jumped off the couch to get it.
He opened the door to Rachel standing there. She looked more beautiful than the night before and she was simply wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
"Hey come on in. Let me just grab my wallet from downstairs." Joe said as he ushered her in the door.
"Ok" she walked into the apartment.
Joe headed down the steps as she walked over to the couch and sat down next to me.
"Hey Oli." She said to me. She had this liveliness to her voice that radiated joy.
"Hey what's going on?" I asked.
"Not much. What are you playing?" She said while glancing at the screen.
"FIFA" I responded. I rubbed the back of my neck to try and hide my nervousness. I was never my smoothest around girls.
"Oh cool. Soccer right?" She looked back at me.
"Futball yah" I responded. I don't know why I felt the need to correct her and I was wishing I hadn't.
"Oh right you guys call it futball here. To us football is a bunch of guys bashing into each other and throwing a ball"
I laughed a bit at her description of American football.
Just then Joe came back up the stairs with his wallet in hand.
"Got it. Let's go." He said while walking over toward us.
"Sure thing. Nice to see you Oli." She got up from the couch and in an instant they were both gone.
Nice to see me.
