Adeline

"My name is Jax Sunset and I am an Alpha from the Black Knights Pack. And it's a pleasure to meet you all." He shook my dad's firmly.

"The pleasure is ours." My dad shook back. "And I also want to thank you for saving my son from the danger years back."

"No need to thank me, your son is a good kid. And my wife cherish him like her own son." He smiled and he turned towards Lake. "But since he is our only son, not biologically, but by blood transfusion. I have decided that you, Lake Sunset or Woods, which ever, will be the next Alpha of my pack."

"What? Are you serious?" Lake asked.

"Yes, Lake. Even though we couldn't have kids, we cherished you the most even though you weren't our real son."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, Lake and even the council agreed." He looked at the Council.

"It's true, since Jax had no heir, by blood, that only left you. So you are going to be the next Alpha of the Sunset Pack." The Council smiled.

Lake smiled and hugged Jax. "Thank you, father."

"But you have to find your mate first." Jax laughed.

"Yeah, that's going to take a while father."

"I know. But anyway let's get back to the main subject. So Adeline, "He looked towards me. "we have to discuss the situation that's going to happen Adeline. Is there somewhere we can sit and discuss this matter?" He said in a serious tone.

"Uh, yes." My mother led the way to the dinning room. We all sat and Jax was at the head of the table.

"I understand that you are the mate of Alpha Xavier Heine of the Eclipse Pack am I correct?" I nodded. "Okay, so Vax Helsing of the Redwoods Pack is coming after make you his mate by force and he came to your house last night, am I correct, Adeline?"

"Yes, you are correct." I responded.

"So, I believe that if he tries or does kidnap you, there will be war between Xavier's pack and his pack and will cause problem for the Council and it's something the Council wants to avoid."

"I am the Human Council Member, Len Quine. I am here to inform you that we have tried to stop Vax from doing something stupid that would lead to war. But he refused and he will never give up on you until he has you and claim you as his mate. So I am here to ask you some questions about Vax, if you don't mind."

"I don't mind."

"Very well, then." He took out his papers and pen. "I will begin asking. How long have you known Vax?"

"I known him for about a year before I moved to here, and I had crush on him for awhile."

The Council nodded. "Has he ever approached you more than just a friend?"

"Umm, I think so sometimes we go out with his friends and Valentina never leaves me alone. Sometimes when I'm talking to Valentina, in the corner in my eye I can see him staring at me. But Valentina always believed that there was something menacing coming from him. Like a dangerous vibe. She said that every time he looked at me it was something with love and passion, but something dangerous behind his eyes."

"Is Valentina here today? At her house?"

"No, I believe she is on a date with Joshua today. The Beta of the pack." I explained.

"I see. Do you mind if you can call her so she come over after her date?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Well, that'll end my questions for now, but I'll come over if there's more question to ask. If that's okay?"

"Yes, that's okay."

"Would you both like to stay over for dinner?" My mom asked.

"Would that be okay with you both?" Jax asked.

"Of course." My dad answered.

"Let me call my wife, she waiting for me and she'll be glad to meet you all." He smiled.

"Sure."

After Jax called his wife/mate, she arrived soon after. 

"OH MY GODESS! YOUR SISTER LOOKS SO CUTE!!" The lady hugged me tight. She has a tight grip. She was beautiful for a middle aged women. She had long black hair, with beautiful light brown eyes that stand out beautifully. Her skin was light brown, she was wearing a pink flower dress with pink flats.

"My name is Eva Sunset. It's a pleasure to meet you all." She smiled brightly. And starting shaking my parents hand.

"I'm home." I heard Travis coming in. "Whoa. What's going on?"

"We have guests, Trav." I smiled.

"Oh, well is Xavier coming?" He asked.

"He will, he's running a little late." Lake responded.

"This my adoptive father and mother, Jax and Eva Sunset." Lake introduced to Travis.

"It's a pleasure to meet you."

Xavier arrived later on, he was glad to see the Alpha Jax. Alpha Jax then explained to Xavier the situation.  Xavier would give me winks. I blushed. After our first I decided to let him mark me. Yes I said mark me. 

I was getting cat treats that I left in my room. I got Ginger's treat, then I heard the door closed.

"Hello, my love."

"Vax." I whispered. "What are you doing here? How did you get passed the patrol?"

"Concealing my scent." He smiled mischievously. "If only I found out that you had crush on me, then I would've taken you long time ago, my love."

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because I love you and you are my mate."

"I'm not your mate."

"Yes, you are!" He grabbed my face roughly. "You belong to me and only me. No one else."
