“W-What?! Your name is Lake Woods?” I’m in total shock right now. His last name is Woods, same last name as my angel, Adeline Woods. How is this possible? None of the records show that they have anyone named Lake Woods.

“Y-Yes. My family just moved here from Pennsylvania. My mother’s name Mary Woods and my father’s name is James Woods. I have two younger siblings named Travis and Adeline.”

“That’s not possible. They don’t have anyone named Lake Woods in their family records.”

“Because they renewed it after three years of my disappearance. They thought I was dead since the attack seven years ago.” He took a deep breathe. “Addy and I went to go fishing, since I promised her I would. We were walking towards the river, when we heard noises, then…a rogue…attacked us. We were running away from it and I decided to leave my sister in a safe place where he couldn’t find her. I told her to keep quiet that I’ll come back for her. But I never did come back for her.” Lake then started to cry. “A-All remembered I was trying to fight it off while keeping the rogue away from my sister. Then it sank its teeth on my neck and for sure I thought I was going to die since I lost so much blood. It dragged me away from my sister leaving blood everywhere. Until the alpha of the pack came rescued me killing the rogue.”

“Then what happened?” I asked him curious what happened to him after the alpha saved him.

“He then took me to his pack house. The pack doctor couldn’t save me because I was human during that time. They needed human blood for the blood transfusion. But then, the alpha decided if it was possible to save me with werewolf blood. The doctor said it was possible, but it will turn me into a werewolf.”

“So who gave you werewolf blood?”

“The alpha himself. I was only fifteen during that time. I survived, but I lost my memory. Then the alpha took me in and treated me like his own son. I was grateful of his kindness. Then three years ago, my memories came back and remembered about my family. My father, mother, Travis and my baby sister Adeline. I told my foster father, he was glad that I remembered, but it also broke his heart. I told him that I needed to find them and to tell them that I was alive.”

“And what are you going to do after you tell them?”

“I still don’t know yet. We’ll see what happens. So can you help me find my family?” He pleaded.

“I will help, but I have to confirm your story with your foster father first. If what you’re saying is true, then I’ll help you.”

“Thank you. But can I ask you question?”

“Sure. Go ahead.”

“Why did you seem shocked when I said my name? Is there something that I don’t know about?”

“I’m shocked to hear your story, but you’ll be shocked as well what I’m about to tell you. Destiny sure is messed up.”

“What do you mean alpha?” Lake asked in confusion.

I took a deep breathe. Lake needs to know that his baby sister is my mate the sooner the better. “I don’t know how are going to react to this, but apparently my mate is no other than your baby sister Adeline Woods.”

His eyes widen. “W-What?”

“Adeline Woods is my mate. Lake, the Moon Goddess chose her as my mate.”

“No, no, no, no, this cannot be happening right now. It’s not possible. How can this be?”

“I don’t know. Only the Moon Goddess has her own reasons to choose her as my mate.”
