I walked through the hospital thinking I was just here three days ago. Bree sounded worried on the phone, I wanted to make sure she was handling things okay. I passed the same secretary playing solitaire on her computer. The same guy was working the gift shop. I pressed the button to get on the elevator. The doors opened and I saw a redhead who looked identical to the girl Wesley was dating. She had scrubs on, and a name tag that said Olivia and underneath her name was the OCN title. It was her. She was the oncologist nurse I was standing next to her.

"Excuse me, can you tell me how to get to the ICU waiting room?" I asked her.

"Of course, you'll want to take the elevator two more flights down to level 2, and you should see the secretary and she can point you in the direction of whoever you're trying to see," Olivia said kindly. She looked at me funny.

"Do I know you?" She asked.

"I don't think so. I'm just trying to see my grandma, I try and stay away from hospitals as much as I can," I explained.

"Oh. I'm sorry," she said. This was the slowest elevator I had ever taken.

When I got to the second floor, I asked the nurse if I could see Wesley. She went to go check with another nurse to make sure it was okay. I looked to my left and there was Bree sleeping in a chair. I couldn't find Cody, maybe he was getting food from the cafeteria. I went over and pulled her jacket over her shoulders, so she wouldn't be cold. The waiting room was freezing.

"Miss, you can come see him now," the nurse said. I followed her to Wesley's room. There were elderly people dying, and a guy who had been completely wrapped in a body cast. I was starting to rethink coming to the ICU. I saw Wesley from a distance, and I was able to relax when I saw that he still looked like himself. The nurse slide the door open and asked me to wash my hands carefully before touching him. I did exactly what she said, getting all the cracks and crevices of my hands.

"I think that's good," Wesley said. I dried my hands and walked over to the window.

"You can sit down," he said, pointing to the empty chair. I wasn't here for a fight, I wasn't here for an apology, I was here to understand why he wanted me here. A few weeks ago, Wesley and I went to a pool party at Dr. Burns' house. I brought my swimsuit in case it was too hot. Dr. Burns had this tree house on the side of his backyard. I saw Wesley take a plate of food up there, and I decided to follow him. I asked him why he chose the treehouse instead of all the comfortable chairs by the pool. He told me it was more private eating alone in the treehouse. He told me to stay to keep him company, but he never said a word after that. I ate some of his chicken, and we both sat next to each other watching all the kids jump in the pool and the adults drink beer. I didn't know what was going on with him, but the sun set quickly and the sky was bright. The treehouse had a huge hole in the roof, so I laid down to get a glimpse of the orange and red sky as it turned dark. Wesley laid down beside me, and grabbed my hand. I looked at him, but he never looked at me.

"Wesley, what do you want from me?" I asked vaguely.

"Why did you bring Tyler's letter to me?" he asked.

"I thought you might like to read it," I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Because you thought I was going to die right?" He said. I looked at him and had nothing to say. It was a cold move to leave the letter with him without giving an explanation.

"Yeah."

"So wouldn't you want to see me if I was dying!" Wesley shouted. I was lost for words again. I stared at the ground. "Well, it's nice to know that the person I love more than anything in the world only cares about me reading some stupid letter and not actually me," he continued to say.
