Chapter Thirteen, Obscurial

A few moments pass without anything happening when the lid was suddenly thrown back as Newt stepped out followed by Lisette and Jacob. Who all looked rather nervous and confused about what was going on. That is until their Minister called out to them.
"Scamander? Lady Scamander?" A British voice called out to them, attracting their attention as Newt locked the case behind Jacob.
"Oh, hello Minister." Newt muttered, smiling tightly at the man who not only made Leta and Lisette's time harder than it needed to be, but he also hit on Lisette whenever he got the chance.
"Theseus Scamander? The war hero?" The African Minister of Magic asked stunned.
"No. This is his little brother and Theseus's wife." The British Minister, Travers, responded.
"And what are you two doing in New York?" He demanded of Newt and Lisette.
"We came to buy a present for my sister, Leta." Lisette replied sharply. "All of the necessary documents were sent in via Theseus two weeks in advance. You can check if you don't believe me." Lisette sassed.
"Right." Minister Travers drawled unbelievingly. "What are you two really doing here?"
"Lissy has just told you, Minister." Newt replied equally as sassy as Lisette had been. The pair of them ignored the conversation Tina was having with Madam President as Jacob was introduced to everyone and what had happened to him, as their eyes were fixed on the visage floating above the hall.
