Chapter Sixteen, Double Surprises
Previously on Unconditional Love:
"Now get that case out of New York, but make sure you are healed properly at the hospital before you leave Lady Scamander. I will not have your sister or husband filing complaints. That goes for you as well Mr. Scamander." Madam President ordered. "Miss Goldstein, you are more than welcome to return to work as well. You can thank your new friends for persuading me."
"Yes Madam President. Thank you." Newt and Lisette agreed. Once she and all of her Aurors had left, leaving the five of them alone as they had a city to repair, after all, the five of them shared happy smiles but they still fussed over Newt and Lisette for their injuries. Especially as Lisette had a large cut on her side and forehead, a concussion and a broken left arm. While Newt had been tortured but other than that he just had a few cuts and bruises.
"Stop fussing. I'm fine." Lisette sighed, waving them all off.
"Theseus and Leta are never going to let us out of their sights ever again." Newt declared.
"To be fair I think we've earned the right to a quiet life for a bit, Newt. A chance to fully complete our book." Lisette smiled.
