A victorious smirk was stitched onto your face as you left the Cobra Kai training ground, triumphant.
You now just had to tell Kwon the good news.
As you strolled back to the hotel, the fight replayed in your head continuously. You missed fighting that way, where your pure rage dominated you like an intoxicating drug. You knew that the training for your fight would be intense and demanding, but you were prepared to sacrifice everything to win the match.
You arrived back at the hotel, entering boldly. Searching the room for Kwon, you found him with the rest of his teammates, engaged in mindless scrolling on their phones. But as soon as you fixed your gaze on Kwon, it was almost as if he could sense this as he lifted his head and locked eyes with you.
Kwon approached you and enquired boldly. "So, good news, I presume, y/n?"
A smirk re-blossomed on your face as you replied smugly. "Yeah, I'm in."
A malicious smirk grew onto Kwon's mouth as he tapped you lightly on the shoulder. "That is no surprise to me. What did you have to do?"
A heavy sigh left your lips in fatigue as you rubbed your aching temples. "I fought Yoon. It was more of a lesson, though." You confessed.
Kwon lifted his hand in approval, encouraging you to high-five him. "Welcome to Cobra Kai, y/n." Kwon announced satisfied.
Diverting your gaze outside, the gloomy
inky shade had swallowed the daylight entirely, the eternal crescent above luminescent. Drained from the adrenaline, you rubbed your eyes in the attempt to stay awake.
Kwon, who had noticed this, chuckled. "You are tired, huh? Let's go back to our room, y/n."
Perplexed, you tilted your head slightly and raised your left brow. "Our room? Your room, you mean?" You stressed.
Kwon broke out into a lengthy chuckle, staring at you amusedly. "I said OUR room because, firstly, you are locked out of your assigned room. And number two, do you want to share a room with Sam before the fight?"
"No, you are right; lead the way." You laughed.
However, before you could move, a defeated Yoon had entered the hotel, his eyes glued to the floor in shame. His movements were sluggish and frail from the fight, and the skin above his left eye was now prominently discoloured with a violent purple hue. As Kwon diverted his gaze to the location of yours, his eyes slightly widened as he analysed Yoon thoroughly. Kwon's eyebrows rose with his mouth slightly agape. He did not know whether he should be in awe or alarmed at this sight; Kwon had never seen you fight this violently and unhinged before.
Kwon took a slight exhale to compose his thoughts and confessed. "Wow, y/n, I am impressed."
Hearing Kwon's praise, a genuine smile grew on your face. However, a sense of remorse encompassed you as you inspected Yoon. He was the walking embodiment of the impact of your unleashed rage, and the excruciating damage you inflicted on him was evident.
As Yoon staggered past you, he narrowly lifted his lowered head, locking eyes with Kwon. In response, Kwon gave him a half-hearted glance. On one hand, Yoon was his teammate, but it was not like Kwon had any sympathy for him-Kwon had brutally defeated him and stolen his geum baeji back home.
The sound of your voice had interrupted Kwon's train of thought. "Hey Yoon, are you alright? Sorry about that, you know." You asked with slight concern.
Yoon nodded his head slightly and feebly smiled, "I'm fine. Well done for winning the fight; I must go now."
He bowed to you as a sign of respect before leaving you alone with Kwon.
