Chapter 14: "Stick with me?"

The training was going to be demanding and intense, but you were prepared for this challenge. And you had a team beside you, encouraging you to keep fighting—Tory and Kwon. You were not going to give up. Not with Kwon beside you.

Arriving at the Cobra Kai training ground, you attempted to shake off the remaining apprehension that remained inside you. You never thought you would see Cobra Kai again after the arrests of Kreese and Silver, let alone train as part of their dojo. A prolonged sigh escaped from your lips; you were prepared to do anything to win the match—even if it involved training with Cobra Kai. As you and Tory proceeded to reach the top of the stairs, she paused and turned to you.

"Y/n, are you ready for this? There is no going back." Tory questioned, cautious.

You nodded your head determinedly. "Yeah, I don't have any other choice. I have to beat Sam to remain captain, and Cobra Kai is the only dojo that would allow me to achieve this."

Tory reciprocated your nod in agreement. "I know; you should have no regrets. It is time to show Miyagi Do what they are missing out on, right?" She proposed encouragingly.

Taking one final breath, you opened the doors and assertively strolled into the training area, where the rest of the Cobra Kai team already stood. The senseis, Kim and Kreese, were scrutinising their students while they were training in an intimidating manner. Your presence diverted the students' focus, causing the predominantly unfamiliar faces to goggle at you in a blend of astonishment and perplexion. Deafening silence had submerged the air entirely. However, piercing the tension, a smug Kwon interrupted the silence.
“Is there a problem? Speak up and stop staring at her or get back to training.” He demanded, speaking in Korean.

Noticing the clear animosity that had begun to develop between her team, a scorn left Sensei Kim Da-Eun’s lips as she shook her head in utter disapproval. “Enough! You are all lucky to still be here right now. We are already going to have to return to our grandfather in plenty of shame as it is.” She sneered.
Drawing her attention to Kwon, Kim continued, muttering disdainfully in Korean. “Sort your mind out, Kwon; this is not the time for such intimacy.”

Before Kwon could respond, Kreese chimed in. “Thank you, Kim. As we know, second chances do not come very often. We must make the most out of this one so you can all return home with honour."

Kreese paused for a moment and diverted his attention to you with a menacing smirk. “This is y/n; she needs no introduction. She is here to help this dojo earn more points while she retrieves her righteous captain position back. So, y/n deserves your utmost respect. Do you understand?”
“Yes, sensei!” rumbled through the entire room intensely, causing a sinister smirk to form on Kreese’s face in satisfaction. “Good. We have no time to waste. Tory and Kwon, get into your positions for practice."

Tory and Kwon took their spots on the mat, with two of their teammates opposite them holding up the kick pads. In unison, they both performed a series of various kicks and punches, perfecting hitting the pads each time. You watched them in awe, more particularly Kwon, as he trained with ease. His hair was now messy, the grunts that escaped his lips after every hit, and the burning rage that was intensifying inside of him.

Kreese interrupted the action; each of his words to Tory and Kwon was callous and harsh. "You both are our champions because you have the instinct to fight inside of you. You need to channel your rage and pain and aim it towards your enemies. Then, unleash hell."

A wooden platform was now held above the Cobra Kai captains. With rage dominating the entirety of Kwon, he let out a piercing shriek. Charging towards the board, he performed a savage kick, breaking it into two pieces in a swift swipe. Tory followed, breaking the board instantly.
