You were his only exception, but he had to be careful not to turn you into his weakness, too.

Glistening rays of sunshine beamed against your eyes, regaining your consciousness with a groan. Instantly, you rubbed your temples in an attempt to soothe them from the throbbing ache.
The hangover felt like a swollen balloon; you were ready to burst at any minute. Kwon soon opened his eyes with a low grumble.
"Shit." Kwon muttered to himself in Korean, his hand massaging his pounding head.
Diverting his gaze to you, Kwon gave you a mildly sympathetic glance as he lightly tapped your arm rhythmically.
"How's your shoulder feeling?" Kwon questioned, with a glint of compassion concealed deep in his eyes.
You let out a heavy sigh. "A lot better. Thanks for your help last night. How I'm feeling, though, exhausted and hungover." You remarked with a small smile in an attempt to try and lighten up the mood.
Kwon firmly nodded in agreement. "I know how you feel about that one; it sucks." He admitted, his hand returning to massaging his temples.
A blaring ringing interrupted the silence, causing both of your heads to simultaneously throb.
"Y/n, turn it off." Kwon groaned, rubbing his head in pure exasperation.
With a groan, you grasped your phone and answered the call.
"Y/n, where the hell are you? Training started over 20 minutes ago; the senseis are not happy." Tory urged, with panic dripping from her tone.
Your mouth flew open in astonishment as you met Kwon's gaze in shared trepidation. You both generously overslept and were now late for training, which was not exactly what you currently needed. With a reciprocated groan, you both arose from the bed, hurriedly throwing on your gis.
"We are so fucked." You admitted, anxiety now pounding hastily in your chest.
7:40
Arriving at the training grounds, you both began the lengthy walk up the stairs. Your hysterical manner met Kwon's seemingly unfazed stance, his hands casually buried in his pockets. Observing Kwon's carefree manner, an incredulous scoff left your lips.
"How can you be so unbothered? That will just make our senseis even angrier." You scowled, crossing your arms.
This only resulted from a chuckle from Kwon, as an amused expression contorted onto his face. "Relax, y/n. They don't scare me." He shrugged, causing you to roll your eyes exaggeratedly.
As you reached the top of the stairs, you exchanged a final glance with Kwon. Your fearful eyes met his relaxed eyes as he offered you a vaguely encouraging look.
With one deep breath, you opened the doors, meeting the scrutinising glare of your senseis. The class went completely silent, gawking at you both in a blend of awe and disapproval. A scowl formed on Sensei Kim's lips as she shook her head in disapproval.
"You're late. Both of you." She spat out condemningly.
Sensei Kim outstared you both belittlingly before continuing in an intense tone. "Kwon, as my top student, I expect better from you. I thought we dealt with your foolish distractions; I could see right through them." She scolded, causing an unfamiliar expression to form on Kwon's face-it seemed almost solemn with a hint of vulnerability.
It was like Kwon had a side to him that he never revealed. He hadn't touched on his life at home-not at all, actually. You just assumed he kept his private life to himself, but maybe there was more beyond the surface with Kwon. But you didn't want to intrude, so you decided to suppress the harrowing thought from your mind.
