~ You both knew only one of your teams would continue to the next round of the tournament. He was determined to win, and so were you. He just had to try and keep you in the process. ~

10:00 pm
Worn out after a long day of fighting and your Miyagi Do teams' loss, you decided to go lie down in your room to try and clear your thoughts. You knew that tomorrow could be your last chance to prove yourself in the Sekai Takai, as either your team or Cobra Kai was going to be eliminated.

Taking a prolonged breath, you wished the situation could be different. Of course, you did not want your team to be eliminated, as you had spent months intensively training. All of the losses, sweat, and tears you had endured the past few months just to have a chance at winning the tournament. And tomorrow, it could have been all for nothing.

But equally, you knew if the Cobra Kai team got eliminated tomorrow, you would have to say goodbye to a certain boy. It would feel so strange; considering how close you had gotten to him, your connection was undeniable. No. In truth, you did not want to think about it. It was better to live in the present than the future, right? Rubbing your eyes vigorously to prevent your mind from displaying its cyclical cycle of lingering, gloomy thoughts, you grabbed the key from your pocket and attempted to open your door.

"What the?" You questioned, bewildered.
No matter how much pressure you applied to force your key inside the lock, it just would not turn. Confusion crept inside you as you stood there, hopeless. Before you could try any more of your furious attempts to force the door open, a voice interrupted:
"Looks like you are struggling there, y/n." Kwon mocked, his signature smirk plastered onto his face.
Irritated, you rolled your eyes. "Very funny. My door will not open."

Kwon unclutched his hand, signalling for you to pass him your key. Defeated, you reluctantly placed it in his hand, your fingertips brushing his. However, despite his initial arrogant attitude, he was struggling to open your door, too.
You smirked, mockingly: "Wow, Kwon, it looks like you are struggling there. Do you need my help?"
He let out an exasperated sigh and struck the door in defeat.
"Looks like you are locked out. Are you sure your teammates did not do this on purpose y/n?" Kwon taunted.
"You wish. So much for getting an early night," you retorted.
Kwon smirked: "My room has spare space; you know the one I won off your team?"
A moment of silence lingered.
Kwon continued, smugly pointing to the floor: "If you do not want my offer, you can always sleep there."
"Ok, fine." You scoffed.
Kwon tilted his head slightly to the side in satisfaction, waiting for you to continue.
"Thank you," you sighed.

It was going to be a long night.

Kwon continued the conversation while you followed him back to the lift: "So, y/n, big day for both of us tomorrow." He remarked.
"Uh huh, shame it will be your team that loses though," you smugly replied.

Kwon distastefully scoffed. However, he was soon back to his smug self: "You would like that, huh, then I could leave you to be alone with your boyfriend."
You crossed your arms, muttering, "I do not know how many times I have to tell you, Robby is not my boyfriend."

Kwon replied, pressing a button on the lift: "Just making sure, y/n."
A smirk began to grow on your face as you continued in a mischievous tone: "Why does it bother you so much, Kwon? Are you jealous?"
Kwon exhaled sharply: "I am not jealous, y/n. He is no competition."
"Sure." You replied smugly.

As the lift came to a halt, you both simultaneously stepped off it and headed to Kwon's room.
"Your room is number 31, right?" you enquired.
Kwon broke out into a chuckle: "I knew you would remember it, y/n."

Strolling behind him, you waited while he turned the key to open his door. A slight smile grew on your face as the memories from a few nights ago began to replay in your head like an addictive melody. His glistening eyes, the passionate kiss, the intensity of it. You could not forget it. With your mind elsewhere, you failed to notice Kwon had opened the door and was staring at you thoroughly.

Kwon chuckled, waving his hand in front of your face: "Y/n, are you there?"
You snap back into consciousness: "Sorry, I zoned out." A slight smirk still rested on your face.
Kwon reciprocated your smirk: "You seem to be doing a lot of that lately, y/n. It's such a coincidence that you only do it when you are staring at me."
Squeezing past him to enter his room, you let out a sarcastic huff: "Keep telling yourself that Kwon."

It was exactly how you remembered it. Fatigued, you dropped to his bed, a heavy sigh escaping your lips. Also exhausted, Kwon lay down on the bed directly next to you.

You turned to him: "You know, when your team gets eliminated tomorrow, I might slightly miss you. Just a bit, though." You chuckled.
A grin grew on Kwon's face as he chuckled sarcastically, "I know you would. Shame your team will be the one who is eliminated, though."
"Shut up." You laughed, slightly hitting him with a pillow.

Kwon would never admit it to you, but he knew he would miss you if your team got eliminated tomorrow. Due to his overbearing, cocky attitude, he was certain that this would be the case, but he would be lying if he didn't say that he wished both of your teams could continue. Strangely, both you and Kwon felt at peace with one another at this moment, although both of your minds were whirring with similar harrowing thoughts about the tournament.

Kwon, once again, had turned to you, smirking, "You know, y/n, I can almost hear your thoughts."
You sighed. "I know. I just don't want this to be over." You admitted.

A sigh also left Kwon's lips once he heard this. Attempting to soothe your thoughts, Kwon leaned closer to you, connecting his lips with yours in a quick kiss. You had completely melted into the kiss, the same overwhelming feelings flaming inside of you: passion, care, but most importantly: desire.

Kwon briefly broke away from the kiss. He gave you a small kiss on the cheek and leaned his head closer to your ear: "Why don't we make it count then?" Kwon whispered, smirking lustfully.

Reciprocating the smirk, you eagerly nodded, your eyes glistening with pure hunger. You knew what you wanted at this moment. You wanted Kwon. And he wanted you. And you were not going to take this moment for granted. No way. It was going to last.
