It looked like Kwon was going to be here for longer than you thought. But that didn't bother you. Not at all.
Kwon approached you, smirking. "Looks like you are stuck with me, y/n. You cannot get rid of me."
You sarcastically rolled your eyes as a smirk blossomed on your face. "Oh no, what was I going to do without you?" You mocked.
Kwon cautiously cleared his throat. "Come with me to grab some food, y/n. I am starving." Kwon assertively declared.
Startled by Kwon's request, silence lingered for a few seconds as you tried to think how to respond.
Noticing the silence, he continued. "Come on, y/n, my treat?" Kwon added encouragingly.
A chuckle left your lips. "Fine, but I get to pick the place."
Kwon, faking his astonishment, broke out into a large smirk. "I would not have it any other way, y/n."
Arriving at a cafe, a hidden gem slightly out of the centre of Barcelona, you located a table and slumped down onto a chair, with Kwon synchronously mimicking you.
The faint sound of chirps produced a serene hum that reverberated throughout the cafe like a melody. It was truly majestic -the burning rays above slightly tickled the petals of the enchanting flowers.
You drifted your gaze back on Kwon, who you found was already staring at you smugly.
"So, y/n, talk to me. It looked tense around the mat today; what happened?" Kwon enquired inquisitively.
You took a heavy sigh in response. "It's a long story."
"I have time for it." Kwon remarked, taking a bite out of his croissant.
You took a deep breath, attempting to compose yourself as you recounted the story, occasionally stopping to sip your coffee. Kwon listened intensively, reacting to each sentence with a dramatic, unnecessary expression.
"So just the usual. Robby accused me of cheating, and Sam said I did not deserve to be captain. Shows how much my team values my presence."
Kwon tilted his head slightly. "Y/n, you are the best fighter on your team; you know that, right? It sounds to me like they are aware of that, too."
A slight smile began to blossom on your lips as you responded mockingly. "Kwon complimenting me? I never thought I would see the day."
Kwon rolled his eyes in exasperation. "Don't count on it being a regular occurrence." He smirked.
Before you knew it, hours had speedily rushed past, and the conversation between you remained equally as reciprocated. Averting your gaze briefly from Kwon, you noticed a raven tone had almost swallowed the day entirely; the shimmering rays from above were weakening.
"I think we should go back now; I didn't realise we had spent such a long time here." You remarked.
In unison, you both arose from your seats and strolled back to the hotel leisurely. Kwon, with a smirk stuck to his face, teased. "Hey, y/n, you should have seen your face when you found out Cobra Kai was back in the tournament; it was hilarious. It shows how much I underestimated your obsession with me."
You sighed heavily, muttering. "It was unexpected, that's all. Don't read into it."
But secretly, you knew Kwon was right; he was always right. He could decipher you so easily.
Kwon continued mockingly. "Let's go with that then. Anyway, didn't you want to tell me something before?"
Apprehension began to consume you; your hands quivered, and your palms became clammy. There was something you wanted to tell him, but you did not know how to.
