Blink and Miss it

2024, a year of strife,
Each moment fleeting, sharp as a knife.
The struggle's weight, so deeply felt,
Yet time moves on, no place to dwell.

"Does it ever drive you crazy," they say,
"How fast the night changes, night into day?"
And as the seconds slip through my hand,
The years unravel, a grain of sand.

My grandma passed-what felt like now,
But months have passed, I wonder how.
The pain so fresh, the tears so near,
It feels like yesterday she was here.

Her voice still echoes, soft and kind,
