I have been single for a long time now. Taylor Swift is a good friend of mine. She's decided to strike an intervention for me. She had involved all of our friendship group.
"What would your selling point be?" Gracie Adams asked as we all sat talking.
"Hmmm, probably that you will never find another lover like me!" I say.
"Really, Alice?" Taylor asked.
"Sure. I know that there are things about me that are faults, but I own them, too."
"Faults? Like what?" Sabrina Carpenter asked, taking a drink of soda.
"I know that I can be a handful. Sometimes, I never think before I jump into something. I can go psycho on the phone, I never leave well enough alone. I have to poke at something until it causes a fight. And you know that troubles gonna follow where I go."
"I thought we were looking for selling points?" Taylor said. "We need positives."
"I am getting to those." I laughed.
"Ok."
"Anyone of those things is not like the others. I am like a rainbow with all of the colours. And I can promise that you will never find another like me."
Taylor gasped.
"I like that. It sounds a little like a song." She smiled and winked at me. "Ok, we need to find somebody that accepts all these things about you."
"Yes, but they need to be honest about their flaws, too." I said.
"Yea." Grace and Sabrina agreed.
"Men like that are very rare." Taylor inputted.
"Tell me about it." I rolled my eyes. There was a knock on Taylors apartment door. She got up to answer. Sabrina, Gracie, and I were giggling away about something. My tummy ached, and I wiped tears from my cheeks. We were hoping that it was our food arriving. It wasn't. It was another friend of Taylors. Brendon Urie. My face fell. I was disappointed. I wanted food.
"Good evening, ladies." Brendon said. We all answered him.
"Is this going on my dating profile?" I asked Taylor. She smiled and nodded. I groaned and put my head in my hands.
"Dating profile? I didn't know you were looking to date Alice." Brendon said.
"Yea, the girls here have staged and intervention. I have been single for too long." I laughed.
"Oh. Can I take a look at what's been written down?" He asked. Taylor handed him the notepad.
Brendon read the paper.
"Hmmm, I like this." He said." It's very honest."
"Ok." I smiled. "I don't think any man would write the same back. To have that level of honesty."
"I would!" Brendon said.
"Sure." Gracie scoffed and rolled her eyes. Brendon looked surprised at that reaction.
"You don't believe me?"
"Men don't tend to tell the truth. They lie because they think it's what we want to hear. Their main goal is to get between our thighs." Gracie said.
"If I said that we don't think with our dicks, I would be lying." Brendon nodded his head.
"See?" Alice held a hand out.
"Why don't I take you out on a date?" Brendon offered.
"Wait, what?" Taylor said. "Brendon, I thought that you were engaged?"
A look flickered across Brendons face, then he smiled.
"Nope. Not anymore." He grinned at me. "So, what do you think?"
"Ok." I agreed. The other three girls stared in surprise."You look wonderful, Alice." Brendon said, holding the door open to the restaurant.
"Thank you, Brendon." I responded. I was wearing a baby pink chiffon dress that had green feathers on it. My brown hair was brushed over onto one shoulder. Brendon was wearing a white button-up with black pants and a black jacket. He looked very handsome. I told him so.
"Thank you, Alice."
Brendon held my chair out as we had been escorted to our table.
That date was the first of many. I hadn't even realised how much I was falling in love with him. Brendon said that he felt the same way.
"Ok. So you were saying that you want me to be honest about myself, to you?" Brendon said. I nodded.
"Ok, so sometimes I know I tend to make it about me, I know that you never get just what you see, but I will never bore you, baby."
I nodded. "I remember when we had that fight out in the rain, you ran after me and called my name."
"Yea of course. I never want to see you walk away. You know living in Winter I am your Summer. Babydoll when it's comes to a lover, you'll never find another like me." I smiled and walked over to him. I put my arms around Brendons neck and kissed him.
"I love you, Urie." I said our foreheads touching.
"I love you, Alice." Brendon kissed me again.
