There was a brief silence between them as they only stared at each other.

Jimin was still clueless about how Nandini knew him.

And here, Nandini's heart was thumping as well. She couldn't utter a single word, realizing the depth of the situation.

Only then did the cold breeze feel cold, and she was shivering now. An unknown feeling surged within her, which she didn't want to admit.

"How--"

"Are you really Jimin?"

Nandini cut him off once again, her voice trembling with nervousness. Even her hands were now shaking.

Jimin took a deep breath before taking off his mask.

Nandini's pupils dilated as she watched him taking his mask off. She was now hearing her heartbeat, and probably, he was too.

Nandini wanted to reach out and hold his hand, but her fingers hesitated. Her brain refused to grant her wish.

She was lost in his eyes, those eyes which she'd been loving unconditionally, even when she knew he wouldn't be her.

Meanwhile, Jimin was lost as well. As if the time around them had stopped. As if the whole world wasn't moving now, letting their eyes only look at each other with unspoken emotions.

"How do you know me?" his voice came out as a whisper, only meant for her to listen.

"Everyone knows you." were the only words leaving her lips.

At one instance, Jimin realized how stupid he might've sounded. He'd almost forgotten his profession.

Even after that, their eyes didn't move. Their gaze was locked, speaking to each other silently, even though they couldn't quite put a finger on their own emotions.

The thunder rumbled, breaking their moment. Both of them snapped out of the haze, out of the hallucinating effect they both were having on each other.

Nandini sighed, looking away, not knowing what to say. She had a lot to say...but none of them felt right to share in this moment. Never has she ever felt so nervous in her whole life.

"Thank you.....for that day." Jimin decided to speak, not wanting to lose the chance, this alone moment with her. Not when he could make things change between them.

A small smile appeared on her lips, even though she was still struggling to keep her racing heart in control.

"It's okay....you don't need to thank me," she spoke quietly, not having the courage to look into his eyes anymore.

Her smile didn't go unnoticed by Jimin. He smiled, feeling relieved. He could understand perfectly why she wasn't looking at him anymore.

They watched the rain together, relishing their quiet moment of being with each other.

For Nandini, it was probably her first and last meeting with him.

She fidgeted with the hem of her top, hesitating if she should say something or not. She knew she needed to say something, but she didn't know where to start.

"Thank you too...." she finally let her heart win the argument.

"Why?" He asked, looking at his side where she was standing beside him. His heart skipped a beat at the way she was looking, as adorable as a kitten.

Nandini took a deep breath, gathering every ounce of courage within her.

"For everything. For coming into my life, for saving me whenever I was drowning in darkness. For fighting"

"For just being you...." she added softly, feeling proud of her initiative.

Jimin quietly stared at her for some moments and then looked at the way she was looking. At the river, watching the rain.

"The rain isn't annoying" he remembered.

"Thank you for loving me..." Jimin replied. A soft, genuine smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

"You gave me thousands of reasons to love you. So, how can I not?"

Nandini didn't know where she was getting the courage, but she was happy. Happy that she was getting to say all the things she wanted to. She wanted him to know how much everyone loved him, and that he's perfect just the way he is.

A shuddering breath left his lips. No one has ever spoke to him like this, no one has ever told him these. He knew his fans loved him, just the way he was. But hearing it from her, it felt as if he had won the whole world. As if all his hard work had paid off.

Jimin thought deeply, if he should say what was happening with him. About his dream, the dream he was getting almost every night, but not anymore after they both met.

He decided to share it later.

"How is your trip in Seoul going so far?" he asked. His voice soft as ever, making her heart melt.

"Good. We have gone to many places around. But..." she paused as she remembered about her anklet.

Jimin looked at her side profile, "But what?"

"I lost one of my anklets..." she replied quietly. Jimin's smile widened, even he felt guilty for feeling happy at the news. Her anklet was still with him.

"That's....really upsetting." Jimin replied, to which Nandini only hummed.

"How many days are you guys staying here more?" Jimin asked again.

"We are leaving tomorrow morning." she replied, making Jimin's smile falter.

Leaving tomorrow?

Their moment got interrupted when she got a call from Iry. Nandini sighed, and so did Jimin.

"I will have to go back now. it's getting late." she spoke, her voice low.

Jimin nodded slightly, his mind wandering.

"Take care. Don't overwork yourself." She finally looked up at him again, flashing a smile as she spoke.

Jimin felt his heart melting at her words.

"Wait..!" Jimin stopped her when she was about to leave.

"Take this.." He smiled as he reached out, taking her hand in his and placing his favorite locket in her palm. He felt a jolt of electricity rushing within his veins at the touch. Her hands were as soft as her personality.

Nandini looked at her palm, her eyes widening. "B-but--"

"Take it. It's a small gift." He cut her off this time, knowing she was about to refuse.

"A token of our first meet." He added with a tender gaze.

First meet?

she thought, looking down at the locket again. He closed her fingers in a fist.

"Take care of yourself too."
