"Yes, hyung. I'm on my way. I'll be there in ten minutes."
Jimin spoke to Namjoon on call, taking quick steps to his car. As he settled in, he let out a heavy sigh. He never found out how he ended up getting late every time.
When the car started passing through the busy roads, Jimin leaned on the plush seats, scrolling through his phone, watching particularly nothing.
The car stopped moving, getting stuck in another traffic. Jimin's eyebrows furrowed as he looked up.
Every time when I get late.
Jimin muttered under his breath, rolling his eyes. He texted in their group chat, apologizing for his late arrival.
"Guys, there's much traffic on the road. I'll be late. I'm sorry."
Jimin focused on scrolling through social medias again as he waited for the traffic to end. The car was moving ahead real slowly, making Jimin more and more irritated. The dance practice and recordings were important today. And all of them needed to arrive earlier than usual but he was late again.
Jimin sulked to himself in his seat. First of all, he made himself late and now the traffic was making him more late.
He let out an exasperated sigh as he leaned on the seat again. But that was just for a brief moment.
He quickly straightened up when he heard a familiar sound, a familiar laughter.
The same soft laughter which he hears almost every night, in his dream. He looked to the left window, there was a bike next to his car.
His eyes widened slightly as he looked to the right window.
There was the woman he sees in his dream. That red saree, adorned by the intricate designs of silver. Perfectly pleated along with the white blouse.
Her hair was shining in the soft sunshine coming through the window. She was laughing about something with the person sitting next to her, another girl with the ethnic outfits.
He guessed they were friends.
His heart rate quickened as he realized her voice was just the same as he always hears in his dream. Soft, almost like a soothing tune.
Jimin didn't realize he was staring her with a smile on his face as he watched the girl speaking to her friend. Excitement evident in her voice.
He couldn't understand what they were talking about. Just then he realized how bad he needed to learn Hindi or even English.
His eyes widened once more, his smile faltering as he watched their cab moving away. His car started moving forward as well, but it was way behind theirs.
"Stop the car!"
He spoke to the driver, his voice raising as he grew more and more nervous. The driver became confused.
"W-what? But you're getting late!"
"I said stop the car!"
He ordered this time, looking at the driver's direction after looking out the window. The driver nodded as he quickly pulled over the side of the road.
Jimin didn't waste a second and got out of the car. He looked around hastily. His face laced with concern, frustration, nervousness perhaps the fear of loosing something dear.
He quickly fixed his bucket hat and his mask before starting to run. At that moment, nothing mattered more than stopping that woman, more than to know who she was, to know if she sees the dream as well, if they really had any connections.
Jimin kept running while looking around. His frustration growing even more as he found himself in the situation just as he sees in his dream. Chasing the mysterious woman.
Jimin stopped when he saw them on the other side of the road. He quickly crossed the road, looking around and running again.
But it felt as if she had been vanished. Both of them were nowhere to be found.
Jimin cursed under his breath, running a hand through his hair being frustrated. He was close, so close to get to that woman. so close to solving the mystery.
Dammit! I lost her.
Jimin became more annoyed for getting lost in the moment at the first place. He should've been more cautious.
His shoulders slumped in defeat as he saw no signs of them around. His heart was still pounding. He sighed and walked back to his car.
Meanwhile
why do I feel like I'm missing out on something?
Nandini thought as she looked around the busy roads of Seoul. Iry chuckled as she spoke,
"Look, everyone is looking at our direction."
Nandini chuckled as well.
"Oh well, makes sense. They don't see so pretty women around usually, do they?"
Iry laughed softly as she nodded.
"Indeed. And they have certainly not seen any woman in red saree, looking like a real goddess."
Iry spoke in a teasing tone, nudging Nandini's shoulder.
"I bet someone will come asking for your number any time."
Both of them chuckled as they walked. But Nandini couldn't shake off the restless feeling within herself.
She felt as if someone special had to meet here. As if someone was waiting to see her.
What's wrong with me all of a sudden?
Nandini thought as she kept looking around while walking.
She thought for the one last time before deciding to focus on the present,
who do I need to meet?
On the other hand, Jimin was constantly looking outside the window as his car moved to their studio. He thought as he leaned on the headrest, closing his eyes, his heart already drowning in emotions,
When will I meet you?
