Chapter 24

Nandini

-"Excuse me? Who are you? And how do you know she doesn't like me? Didn't you see that she just agreed to go out with me?"

I pressed my lips to a thin line as Veer retorted, clearly offended.

-"I'm her boyfriend!"

My eyes widened as those three words hit my ear.

Whose boyfriend?

-"Oh yeah? She never told me she had one?"

-"It's because we've kept it secret!" 

Okay, my heart--hold still.

-"And who do you think you are that you need to keep your relationship secret? And why didn't she react when you walked in? And why did you walk in like a staff???"

I shook my head in disbelief as Veer threw his bucket of logical questions at him.

I only heard a soft, almost inaudible gasp after that. Veer went silent.

-"Don't you dare tell her anything about this, understand? And, last warning. Stay away from my girl."

I didn't know what exactly to do, so I straight rushed into the ladies washroom. 

I must be dreaming, no? He isn't....he isn't the person I think he is, is he? He must be a random stalker.....

oh no....but his voice was exactly like Jimin's....

his eyes, his hair, that cologne....

God, please wake me up if I'm dreaming...

I looked down at my hands which were now shaking. Taking a deep breath, I splashed some water on my face and walked out as if nothing happened.

Veer gave me a side-eye when I entered the green room. This time, my acting skills halted a bit.

-"You didn't need to get me in trouble like that.."

I laughed...nervously...

-"What? what are you saying?"

-"You could've just told me you're in a relationship with Jimin of BTS! He just threatened me a minute ago!!"

I bite my lower lip, not knowing if I should cry or laugh.

-"Hahaha...s-surprise...!"

-"Surprise or what. He said it's last warning!"

I laughed sheepishly

-"A-ah, he said that, didn't he? Okay, I'll teach him some manners. Don't worry."

Seeing me looking out the door, Veer spoke while sipping his drink

-"But seriously. That was kinda hot of him. I almost got scared."

My cheeks flushed slightly, as if he just complimented me.

-"He must be out in the hallway, go meet him. Must be going crazy without you.."

I scrunched my nose out of habit, getting flustered.

-"Shut up." 

Fixing my kurti and ghaghra, I walked out of the room again, hoping to find him anywhere around.

My heart was thumping loud in my chest as I walked around.

Did he leave already?

My ears perked up as I heard his voice again.

-"Just a minute Mr.Lee, I'm on my way."

I was about to lose my sense in admiring him but he looked back making me straighten up in nervousness.

-"H-hey..."
I smiled, my hands started shaking again. Dammit.

-"uh..I...I recognized you..."

Stupid stupid stupid..ughhh....

He chuckled softly, making my cheeks heat up and my heart race.

-"You did, didn't you?"

I nodded, walking a bit closer while fidgeting with the hem of my dupatta.

-"You're...leaving already?"

My shoulders slumped as he nodded.

-"I need to join the members. They're waiting for me."

-"Oh..."
I murmured quietly. A small pout was about to form on my lips before I quickly composed myself.

-"Did you...uh...do you...want to..."

Ugh, fuck.

-"Tch...I mean, did you..."

-"I saw your performance."

I looked at him as he spoke, a small smile appeared on my lips.

-"Did you?"

He nodded with his signature soft smile.

Damn, this guy makes my heart race in one moment and melts it in the next.

-"You looked....beautiful."

My heart skipped a beat at his words as our eyes locked.

-"T-thank you..."

-"My pleasure....that I got to see the performance of such a pretty lady like you..."

My cheeks flushed with a deeper shade of crimson, to which he smirked.

Damn...he's...teasing me now...
I whined internally.

I should tease him back!

-"Is it? I thought someone got jealous..."

I restrained myself from biting my lips and ended up grinning as he arched an eyebrow playfully.

-"Now, if someone tests my patience, what can I do?"

Oh, didn't he just admit he got jealous.

Yayy!

-"Patience is a virtue, Mr.Park."
I grinned, unconsciously leaning against the wall beside me.

-"Oh I know it very well, Miss Sen."

Dear heart, please don't come out just yet.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance when his phone buzzed up with a call.

He chuckled, making me smile too.

-"I have to head out now. See you."

I nodded with a soft smile.

-"Take care..."

I suddenly remembered something

-"Oh by the way...do you know someone else here beside me?"

He looked up from his phone screen after texting someone.

-"Yeah, Chaein. She's Jungkook's childhood friend."

I frowned slightly as something clicked in my head, immediately noticing the change in his gaze. As if he revealed something which he didn't want to.

-"I-I'll head out now. Bye."

He bowed slightly and I reciprocated it, watching him rush into the elevator.

Chaein...

He knows Chaein...
