Day 10: Write an un-love poem.
.
I can never meet your eyes,
as I walk down the hall.
A blush covers my face,
but was it really there at all?
.
I hope you didn't see me,
as I hurried out of sight,
'cause that gum stuck in your locker,
just might have been me, just might.
.
I snuck in this morning,
before the bell rang,
and put it in your locker,
it didn't cause me a throb or pang.
.
The only trouble I got in,
that set me off all day,
was that I just couldn't stop laughing,
no matter what the teacher did say.
.
I avoided you, so guilty,
for I knew you'd have revenge,
but I've been crossing all my fingers,
and it really does depend.
.
Maybe you didn't figure it out,
maybe you still don't know,
and maybe I'll win the lottery,
or get a $100 with every yard I mow.
.
You are hiding around the next corner,
with a bottle of super glue,
or maybe you have a plastic bag,
filled up with your dog's latest poo.
.
I watch my back so carefully,
and guard my front as well,
but as I approach my locker,
I have to ask,
“What is that horrible smell?”

NaPoWriMo 2013
PoetryThis is a very original NaPoWriMo. It contains poems that mean a lot to me, as well as ones that bring tears to my eyes, or a smile to my lips. I love poetry, and I hope you love reading them as much as I loved writing them!
