No, Niyla and Draco are not dating:
*Niyla is very awkward with flirtation and Draco learned this pretty early on in the beginning of their friendship; — which was formed during the summer before their fourth year. Because of Draco's hypervigilance caused by his relationship with his abusive father, he was very good at picking up Niyla's quirks.
*Her uneasiness of being touched was something he related to and unknowingly formed an attachment to the behavior she projected.
(I will now confirm that the reasoning for Niyla's haphephobia will be explained at a later point in the story. — I already have the circumstances of that revelation mapped out.)
*The times Niyla isn't bothered by physical touch is only when she is with someone she truly trusts. Such as Harry or Remus.
*I think since Niyla grew up isolated with her father — Remus — she'd be unsettled with flirtation and "dirty jokes". Having grown up with only her father and then with only making friends when she was finally allowed to attend Hogwarts. And then later becoming close with a half-messed-up, descendant of a Black, boy who realized he can only, honestly be candid with her; is a mindfuck for the both of them. — With all the other overly complicated relationships they have with family and friends, it's when they're alone together that they can find moments to be two teenage kids; when they aren't worrying about the coming war, — that they both know more than they should.
*" Dirty jokes" are one of the only things he can use to pick on her. And he very much exploits the knowledge of knowing it makes her cringe.
The Prolonged Timeline Of November:
*From Chapter Four to Chapter Thirty-Two takes place in the entire span of November.
*Yes, I know that's a huge chunk of chapters.
*I wanted it to be sort of poetic and have a sense of the reminder of just how long Niyla had to sit through practically three years of being completely and instantly blindsighted by her love for George Weasley. — Waiting ages for him to feel the same and then, abruptly, she's his and there's nothing else to say but everything after confessing their love for each other.
*I sincerely hope the careful phrases and poetic exchanges between the characters are noticeable. — I structured most of Chapters Four through Thirty-Two, around random poetry I thought of unrelated to the story, but found ways to alter my ideas to fit in the chapters.
November was mushy and drawn out; December will consist of an anchor and will be moored to the Second Task...
