Titan had been lounging on Titania's bed, his eyes half-closed in that peaceful, unbothered way he always had when he wasn't actively engaged in something. His gaze lazily followed Titania as she worked, a small smile tugging at his lips. She was completely focused on her painting, adding intricate details with a steady hand. The brush strokes were delicate but purposeful, and Titania's concentration was absolute. Her art was a big deal to her-she had been trying for months to get one of her pieces accepted into a gallery, hoping to follow in the footsteps of her planet, Uranus, whose artwork had been displayed far and wide. Titan didn't really understand all the intricacies of art or why it mattered so much, he was more of an athlete but he recognized that this was important to her, and that was enough. He knew enough to give her space, watching her work without interrupting, though his attention was anything but focused.
His eyes wandered absently toward the large window that framed the view outside. The day had been overcast, a dull gray sky looming above, but something had caught his eye. The air outside had a peculiar stillness, and the soft, almost imperceptible movement of the world beyond the glass seemed different now.
And then, his brain processed what was happening.
Snow.
His core skipped a beat. The thought of snow was enough to snap him from his sleepy haze, and his eyes widened as he took in the sight. The first few flakes drifted lazily from the sky, slowly building into something much bigger. Titan leaned forward, squinting at the window, unable to believe what he was seeing. He rubbed his eyes quickly, then blinked again. There it was, undeniable-a soft white cascade of snowflakes filling the air, collecting on the ground outside, transforming the world in an instant.
It was snow. Actual snow.
"Titania!" Titan shouted, unable to contain his excitement. His voice was loud, breaking the silence of the room, and the sheer volume of it made Titania flinch in surprise.
Titania's hand jerked, and she fumbled for a moment, her paintbrush slipping from her grip. In her surprise, she watched helplessly as a streak of blue paint splashed across the floor. She shot Titan an irritated look, eyebrows drawn together in a mixture of surprise and annoyance.
"TITAN!" she snapped, wiping her hands quickly on a rag, though it was clear she was trying to keep her cool. But her annoyance melted when her eyes followed Titan's pointed finger toward the window.
She froze.
Outside, the snow was falling, drifting down like soft confetti. The trees outside, the streets, the roofs-everything was quickly blanketing in a layer of white, the scene straight out of a dream. It was rare for snow to appear here, so the sight of it was something special. The galaxy outside seemed to slow down, almost magical, as the snow began to accumulate.
"Snow!" they both exclaimed in unison, their voices filled with wonder and excitement. The rarity of it made the moment feel even more surreal.
Titan's grin spread from ear to ear. Without even thinking, he threw the covers off the bed, jumping to his feet in a fluid motion, his excitement palpable. Titan had no patience for waiting, especially not when something as exhilarating as snow was falling right in front of him. He darted toward Titania, already forming a plan in his head.
Before she had the chance to clean up or say a word or even comprehend what was happening, Titan scooped her up effortlessly, tossing her over his shoulder as though she weighed nothing. Titania yelped in surprise, her hands instinctively reaching out to brace herself.
"Titan!" she squealed, kicking her legs lightly. The sudden movement made her core race, and she slapped his back in protest, though the playful laughter bubbling from her lips betrayed her. "What are you doing?!"
