Chap 42

The lavishly decorated park was awash with laughter, the light sunset made the venue look magical. It was a day of celebration, Who would have thought it'd be the opposite.

Family and friends gathered together to celebrate, The men and women stood talking with some allies.

"Hey, Jen, can you get me a sprite?" J-hope said to Jennie who was talking to some ladies, Jennie smiled then nodded, The man talking with the men smiled "It's nice the women listen to you, it's obvious they fear you." Namjoon chocked on his drink, spilling the entire wine out of his mouth.

"It's actually the other way around." The man knitted his eyebrows at what Taehyung said "The other way around?, you fear them?, how?"  The men glanced at Jennie who handed J-hope a glass of sprite.

"If only you knew." Jimin chuckled. Ryujin held Jieun's hand tight, while glaring at anyone who looked their way. Jieun looked down at her little bundle of joy.

"Sweetie, stop glaring," Jieun said softly "You'll scare the guests away."
"They looked weird." Ryujin pouted and rubbed her nose with her pinky.

Jieun chuckled, patting her daughter's head. "That's because not everyone is used to your unique charm, sweetie."

Jennie passed Taehyun to Taehyung who was still chatting with some guests. "Woah, easy, little man." Taehyung laughed as Taehyun tugged on his tie with surprising strength. Taehyung gently pried the tie from his son's grip. "I need to stay intact for the main course of the event."

Jennie who couldn't leave as the man Taehyung was talking to now started a conversation with her, shook her head at the two. "You know you look very handsome, and Taehyun doesn't want anyone to see you look that good." Taehyung smiled at her remark but before he could respond she was already halfway across the venue.

Hailey on the other hand, was currently sucking her meal trying not to be disturbed, but her father doesn't think the same.

Jungkook walked up to them with a smile he knelt in front of them and pulled the blanket Lisa used to cover her breast and Hailey's face, just a little bit so he could see his baby's face.

Hailey kept her eyes closed totally unbothered by him. Jungkook pouted and proceeded to poke her cute face. "Jungkook, Stop, let her eat her fill, you'll play with her later." Jungkook just pouted more.

"Jaesuemin's already late," Chaeyoung murmured, adjusting the strap of her gown. "Jisoo Unnie, promised they'd be here by now."

"Knowing Jisoo, She's probably fixing every detail of Jae's outfit." Jimin chuckled

"But Jisoo Unnie is also never late." Chaeyoung said nervously gripping her gown, "You're overthinking it, sweetheart." Jimin reassured her. "I guess, I am." She nervously laughed.

The event went on without any hindrances, Chaeyoung moved to the buffet table to grab something when she met an older lady and they both started to chat about motherhood.

"Since, your daughter is already one, I'm sure you're working on another child." The lady chuckled and Chaeyoung found herself smiling. "We want Jae to be older first."

A female guard approached Chaeyoung as she was the first she saw, She leaned close whispering, "Ma'am, there's been an accident..." Chaeyoung's smile dropped "What accident?" She swiftly turned around to face the guard, not bothering if it seemed rude to the lady she was talking to.

"A car accident on the highway, Madam Jisoo And Miss Jaesuemin were involved." And that's all it took for Chaeyoung's world to crumble.

The glass in her hand slipped and shattered into pieces, the sound attracting the attention of people nearby, including Jimin and Jin.

"No, No, No," Chaeyoung mumbled "You're lying, You're lying!, pls tell me you're lying." When the guard didn't respond, Roseanne knees buckled and she fell to the ground crying.

Jimin knelt beside her, "What's wrong?, What happened?!" Jimin asked anxiously, the murmurs of guests got louder.

Chaeyoung didn't respond to Jimin instead she gripped his suit in a tight grip as if it were the only thing keeping her grounded.

"Chae, What happened?" Jimin asked again gently caressing her hair "Jimin!" Chaeyoung cried more, Jimin's suit jacket was already soaked but he didn't care.

"Jae-, Jimin,—" Jimin's world spun as he quickly turned to face the female guard, his gaze told her he wanted an explanation.

"Miss Jaesuemin and Madam Jisoo were involved in an accident." The guards statement was enough to send the entire Park into a frenzy.

Jennie who was approaching to see what was going on, immediately stopped and marched up to the guard, "What!, repeat what you just said!," A flicker of fear flashed by the guards eyes, unlike Jisoo, Chaeyoung and Lisa, Jennie was exactly the kind to kill a messager.

"There was an accident and—" She was pushed to the ground, she looked up to see Jennie's crazed eyes, she instantly shivered with fright.

Before Jennie could lunge at her, she was held back by Taehyung, behind him were the rest of the gang.

"What's going on?" Taehyung quickly asked still holding onto Jennie who desperately wanted to kick the guard.

"Jae And Jisoo were involved in an accident." Jimin's voice came out shaky as he held Roseanne tight while she broke down completely in his arms.

"What?" Lisa whispered, "Where are they?" Jungkook asked "They were taken by the paramedics a while ago, they should be at the hospital now." The guard replied getting up from the ground.

"You daft idiot!, we don't want to know that!, which hospital are they in!" Jennie yelled, Taehyung almost couldn't hold her back.

"City hospital." The guard nervously replied, she was one of the top 10 best fighters in the girl's gang, but no skill could match up to what Jennie could do in anger.

"Let go of me!" Jennie ordered Taehyung "Promise you won't touch her." Jennie just kept shut and Taehyung knew she didn't agree to his terms, he could see it in her eyes, she really wanted to see that guard's blood.

"I promise, I just want to see my sister and niece." Jennie's voice cracked.
